the monday morning footy show on 5rph

Postby bayman » Sun Aug 31, 2008 10:00 pm

i can't find the previous thread about it but just reminding everyone it (the show) is on again tomorrow from 7am-9am incorporating the amatuer footy show as well & i think that next year the show should have a name change to 'mondays experts' hosted by media stars chris & john (no not bayman  )
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Can we discuss the phenomenon of the number 9?

Hi everyone,

We are pleased to announce a new partnership with the Adelaide Link Lightning women's basketball team. Each week, around 8.30am, we will speak to one of the players or coaches from the team about that week's game, and looking at the past week's match. We will also be giving away some family passes to the game each week to talkback callers, or competition winners.

Join us each week from 7am to 9am for the Monday Morning Sports Show on 1197AM 5RPH Adelaide.

Don't forget our Wednesday Morning Sports Show, each week at 7am, the Thursday Summer Sports Show at 8pm, and the Morning Sports Show on Friday at 7am also. With the RPH Sports Team covering a wide range of sports, plenty for all local sports fans!

Cheers

Good show this morning guys, well done to Phil Herden and Chris Kendall...

BTW, was it Richmond and Carlton that played in the exhibition match at the 1982 Commonwealth Games ???

(That was a quiz question the boys asked that didn't get answered by talkback)

yep, rishmond won IIRC, which proves that not only was teh 1982 Carlton team better footballers but also better drinkers on fully funded footy trips than Richmond....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

They made plenty of mention about it this morning on air, specifically about this week being the Adelaide Test match...

Yes, the trivia question was Carlton v Richmond.

My apologies for not specifically mentioning the Cricket Show in this: the full range and times are as follows for RPH Sports Shows:

Monday 7am - 9am: Monday Morning Sports Show
Tuesday 7am - 9am: The World Football Show
Wednesday 7am - 9am: Wednesday Morning Sports Show
Thursday 7am - 9am: Harness Racing Show
8pm - 9pm: Thursday Summer Sports Show
Friday 7am - 9am: Friday Sports Show (includes the RPH Cricket Show)
Saturday 7am - 9am: Punters Club with Ray Fewings
9am - 10am: Harness Racing Show

Thanks

Hi everyone,

Don't forget to join us tomorrow for the first show broadcast live from the new RPH studios at Mile End. Nanks (John Nankivell) and myself bringing all the most up to date sports news from overnight, local, national and overseas.

For tomorrow morning's show, we'd love to hear from sports fans out there about their burning questions - so post any (reasonable!) sporting question/topic/discussion point in this thread, and we'll throw the ideas out there for the show. With the Australian Open tennis starting soon, the 36ers and Adelaide Lynx Lightning charging toward the finals, the business end of the season for Adelaide United and the SANFL pre-season in full swing - let's hear your questions!

Don't forget also all of the RPH Sports programming as listed above for 2009!

Cheers

I would love to agree, but on my 10 minute drive to work I got about 1 minute of Sport talk (NBL), then ads and music ... Felt rather ripped off lol.

Just a reminder that our best talkback caller of the morning, the Australia Day show, will receive a family pass to the Adelaide Lynx Lightning basketball, so ring 8234 1198 from 7am tomorrow for your chance to win.
