Name Change for this Website

Just letting everyone know that in the next day or two this website will change from http://www.sanflfooty.com to http://www.safooty.net

The SANFL didn't like their name being used in the URL and Logos because of concern people will think this site is affiliated with them officially.

Ive registered the URL http://www.safooty.net and am in the process of redirectin everything to that name. I've asked SBR niceley to redo the logos too. :)

After everything is complete only http://www.safooty.net should show in the address bar and even if people accidentally type in http://www.sanflfooty.com it will just immediately redirect you to http://www.safooty.net

I'll let everyone know when the changeover is fully complete.

Cheers,

Wedgie.

SBRs on the ball and has sent me the new headers and logos, thanks very much SBR.
Also I've added the little icons he sent me that show if a new post has been made on the forum or not in the design of the SA Footy logo that SBR sent me.

Awesome stuff SBR, thanks heaps.

Doesn't the SANFL like people talking about football?

Being a little bit precious aren't they? Either way well done with this site and long may it continue.

Must admit my original preference was http://www.safooty.com as the insperation behind this site was http://www.footysa.com and its a catchy name but it was taken.
I thought to myself that aflhq and vflfooty had lasted with out any intervention from their leagues so we should be ok but I respect the SANFL's wishes and want to remain on good terms with them as they've been good to me this year.
http://www.safooty.net will be up and running by the weekend.

wedgie, after i look at a thread in a topic and when i click on the sanfl link to get back to that thread, its still showing that i havent looked at it...not a big issue but wondering why its doing that? is it becoz of the change over as it wasnt doing that under the old name...just a question... :?

Nah, its just because you're a Sturt supporter Jimmy, I clicked on the "Screw Sturt supporters around?" Yes/No button in the administration page.

In all seriousness "cookies" are a sensitive little thing and can take a few days to settle down.
