just wondering is there any chance that the lower end of the ladder clubs could get a cheersquad together ,it seems to me the stronger clubs have 1 like port, central bandwagoners, sturt, north to a lesser degree, but u see clubs like south ,bays, west not having supporters clamming together making noise. any thoughts?

well the norwood squad is starting too dwindle, not surprisingly i guess due to results but it adds to the atmasphere quite a bit, example was north v sturt at unley couple of years back, was an awesome game and the north supporters clamming together with the flags at the front reminded me of the 80s,the sturt squad had a big group together , was a fantastic day atmasphere wise, and we won too

The Eagles have a few people, but it could be a bit bigger.

Correct if I'm wrong, but weren't most cheer squads in years gone by full of kids and teens?

Doubt if you'd get many from the same age bracket today to form a cheer squad.

It would be too 'uncool' for them.

Don't know about that ME, the last time I saw some of them, they were huge! If they got any bigger, they'd explode.

I ran the Westies cheer squad for 1 and a half seasons i was fighting with some people in the club for the club to help us out. I walked away after finding out that it will be started next year trust me it was frustrating and i was fed up with what was happening. Westies sarge is doing the job but time will tell how many member he gets and its up to the club if it is offical within the club or not.

The bays have two flag boys sometimes. Cheer squads are for school kids and people of low brain cells. A real fan goes to the games gets drunk and cant remember a thing about the game. :)

tis a bit of a shame that we don't see more flags at games for all teams really, cheersquads may be a bit of a thing of the past, supporter groups on the otherhand though, is good that we have one....getting close or near the snouts on bays games makes for a good atmosphere.....i'm sure most other clubs have something along those lines...
