Well done Wedgie. I am so pleased that you have got this site up & running. As mentioned on the Roost site & the old FootySA site, this was the only way I could find out SANFL results on a Saturday night. I thought I was being denied this opportunity when we had problems with the FootySA site. When the new season starts next year, I cannot wait to hear comments from other fellow football supporters. Naturally I can find out North Adelaide results from the online scoreboard but it is nice to know how the other teams are going. Thanks for everything & GO THE MIGHTY ROOSTERS!!

Crikey, I was amazed that so many people have registered in the first few hours of the site coming up in a beta form!
Thanks for all the kind words.
Hopefully be a link from footysa to here soon so more people are aware of this forum, I talked to ca by email a few times today and he was very supportive of this forum.
I'll spend the next couple of hours spicing it up, I'll also be adding people as mods, if I make you a mod and you don't want the job, just pm me and I'll take you off, cheers.

Also gave me a chance to fix up the username, no more svmac for me. Teach me to register when pissed last time.

Can I say pissed here? Oh, shit, said it again...

Ha ha, Ive had the same problem hence why I'm RoosterWedgie on Bigfooty as my original name was something like Wedgoe.

One suggestion?: Each SANFL club has their own thread in the index.

Central District discussion
Glenelg discussion
etc

That'll allow supporters their own "space" and hopefully cut back on the rubbish. Maybe. Just a thought.

Good idea and something I've considered/still am considering, actually thought about it in the past when I've been in bigfooty.

Only down point is North, Norwood, Sturt, Glenelg, Port, South, etc have their own userforums at the moment but it would be of benefit to the fans of clubs that don't. Also allows for fans of other clubs to make comments where they may be reluctant to visit the respective fan sites.

One for discussion, only other downpoint is there will be a hell of a lot of forums.

I'm not sure each club should have their own forum- I'm having seizures looking at the index as it is, and then 1) it would be hard to follow/post 2) there'd end up all sorts of rules, such as only supporters of that club could enter etc... Make sure you have a Betting Forum tho

PS Wedgie- I don't like change, I'm used to the original format, and it's very busy... Maybe I'll get used to it, but the original format has a "softer", more relaxed feel to it....

This looks like a great site. Having the different sections should help to stop some of the crap that was a problem on FootySA. The email registration process should also help as it won't be as easy to exploit the forum. Great work Wedgie.

Top work Wedgie. Very good of you to step in and fill the breach so quickly, you obviously don't spend time pissing around when action is required. Nice to have a link with complete strangers from back home, and thanks to you that link has been restored.

I like it SBR, better than my effort. I think I do prefer the more traditional red, yellow and blue from the State guernsey as opposed to your funky colour scheme though (yeah I know, bloody traditionalists!)Punky had a good idea in incorporating all the clubs logos into it somehow too.
I'd also like a catch logo which could be shortened something like a SF on top of each other?
I'll just have to confirm this name will be OK for the longterm before progressing too far though.
Thanks for the effort, once again, looks great! :)
