Useless fact but Horlin-Smith and Luke Davis were born 1 day apart / Dec 22 and Dec 23.

Good to see our guys getting a crack at the big time. Good luck to them all. Bit suprised the the most dominant team of recent years hasnt lost any to the draft again. If callinan doesnt get picked up pre season i would think his afl aspirations are shot

If his hamstrings can stand up to the training regime of the Crows over summer, he will be a natural highly skilled assest to them, no problems.

Its interesting the Callinan situation from a Central point of view,

if he gets rookie listed to the crows, then gets elavated and doesnt play enough games to qualify for finals it would be a disaster

BUT IF

he gets rookie listed by the crows plays at least five games for the Dogs and qualifies for finals it would be absolutley amazing for the club as we could then recruit another real quality player as i imagine Callinan would be on a good wicket and then we would also have Callinan as well come finals.

That's because Central recruit very well. They recruit a lot of guys in the AFL/VFL fringe who are probably not going to get another crack at it.

They do it VERY WELL, and good luck to them.

Cheers mate, will add them shortly...

Good luck to Sam Agars, he played some very good reserves football for Central a few years ago and had some recent success with Tanunda in the Barossa League.

I always thought he was good enough to play league football...

Cheers,

Callinan's body and hamstrings are as good as they have ever been, there will be problem with his body holding up, as per the article below...

Sam Agars, very promising footballer, very athletic with the ability to do the uncanny.

Wouldnt be surprised if he played a fair bit of league football next season. Will be a handy player for Westies.

Yeah, agree whufc, very much reminded me of a young Sam McArdle and I always thought he would replace McArdle when he retired...

Good luck to Sammy, I think he will play some league footy for the Bloods also...

A bit of usless trivia that may be used at Sports Quiz nights in years to come...

Norwood's Nick Duigan was drafted to Carlton and was the 2000th player to be selected in it's history...

No real Draft suprises from an Eagles point of view. Polec and Smith pretty standard, as was the Thompson upgrade who I reckon will play the first 6-8 rounds in the SANFL and then become a Crows regular. Suspect the rookie draft will hit us a bit harder.

Carlton being the club that chose Duigan is a bit of a suprise IMO.

Is Duigan "better" than Lower?
Also, is Duigan and Lower better than Spurr?

Duigs is quicker than Lower and probably a bit taller .. I'd be too impartial to answer your last question (although I am a Spurr fan)

Disagree on that one. Carlton needed backmen. Duigs will fit in nicely.

I dont know if there better than Spurr, Lee is a very very very talented player

BUT

Nick Duigan defently suits what Carlton need alot better than Lower or Spurr do.
