Shattock to Port Adelaide

Kent Kingsley if not re-drafted back to the Eags

Fuller to coach 2007

Rogers assistant coach at The Eags

Knighta to leave the Crows as he belives his best opportunity to become a premiership player is to play for the Eags

But to us Port supporters:

2 teams
1 club
1 history

1 club?

1.Port Adelaide Football Club inc. - 1 legal entity with an number of incorporation going back to 18 hundred and something. Changed it's name in November 1997 to Port Adelaide Magpies FC inc. with same number of incorporation (to allow the Power to call itself PAFC) so still same legal entity and the club with all the history.
2. Port Adelaide Football Club (AFL) Pty Ltd (with board split between PAFC inc and SANFL) created at ASIC on 29/03/97. Different legal entity. Changed it's name to Port Adelaide Football Club Pty Ltd in November 1997 to takeover the "good will" of the previous club. Still not the original club.

1 history?
The original club was sold down the river by people claiming to be Port Adelaide people to create a bastard child with the SANFL. To say "so and so" was a Port Adelaide FC Pty Ltd legend is like saying Doc Baldock is an AFL legend.
The original swampies got done like the Spartans at Thermopalae.

Numbers, dates,"entities" and so on dont mean farg all to the people that know and love Port Adelaide.Your statistical and legal crap has little or no influence on the passion Port fans feel. You show no ability to take feelings and heritage into account.

I for one have spent much time researching the above that you have mentioned and the statements I have made above reflect the thoughts and feelings I hold.

So you are not disputing the facts? Fair enough. Nothing wrong with feelings.
As L.R. Collins once said..."An emotional link is as strong as an iron chain".
I have no problem with people following both teams. I have never had the antipathy to Port Adelaide that many people have.
My "feelings" are that the Power is the offspring of the PAMFC and as such is entitled to wear the honours of the PAMFC on their right breast. They should be building their own traditions and history to wear on their left breast.
Before I get slammed yes do I think 2 Pre-season and 1 Premiership cup is a good start.
The Older I get the BETTER I WAS!!!!

Shattock will not leave the Eags to move down Port rd, Kingsley would be a huge pick up if it come off. Rogers is ready to move into coaching but with MacGowan there is there room for him. I'd love to see ronnie go on. Knighta

My son will miss reminding him why he left North (to better his chances of plying AFL again) every time he came to his school as a relief teacher. Casual day was great, my son rocked up in all his North gear the week after North flogged Port @ Alberton, then he and a mate had the whole class singing "it's a great great club, and the club we love................."

Would be a great pick up for the Double Blues, Ricky would make a great coach.
Plus it would surely set a new record at Sturt in having 3 coaches in a row who have played for North! :?

Who said he did if you are alluding to Wedgies post. Read it again all he said was that if Macgowan hgets the Sturt gig their last 3 coaches would have been ex North players - nothing more nothing less.

BPBRB

settle petal, little sensitive

just making a statement that during Ricky's time at North, he and Nunan did not see eye to eye so I wouldn't imagine Rick's coaching style would have much of a North or Nunan influence

nothing more

I find it hard to believe Shannon aint playing for Wanderers (the club his Uncle Coaches) up there......
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!
