And still looks a fair way back in terms of fitness, as well...

They're going to sign him on $400 a week and he's their mature age player for 2030.

Well, this is the SANFL forum so if people are talking about playing reserves it would be the SANFL reserves, would it not?

Just talking to a guy at work and he reckons the PAFC academy side will be in the SAAFL (Channel 9 Adelaide Football League). I thought they were just gonna have them in the SANFL ressies comp.

Does anyone know how its planned to work? Are they gonna put 2 extra teams in div 1, or will the ripple effect knock two extra teams from each division down a div?

That is most likely the outcome, the Port Adelaide Academy side from 2015 playing in the Amateur competition. Which grade would still be getting sorted out and I would think a local side, perhaps Port Districts or Portland may be looked at.

Surely they aren't just gonna stack an existing club with PAFC Academy players?

Yes, why stop at pissing on the SANFL when there's the rest of football in the state standing around with its mouth open wide.

Pick players on merit for a start.
Looked a couple of handy players in the early game, promote them and send the AFL guys back to the SANFL ressies
