Spot on. Wasn't having a dig at you ferret, just pointing out that I'd rather we dig in, do it tough for a bit and come out stronger the other side. God knows we've had our share of tough/lean times

Non taken kdith. I remember the dark last thirty years of West Torrens and I don't want to revisit. Although not entirely happy about having to amalgamate I had to accept we would be better off. I would not have seen the success the Eagles have had, but for the amalgamation. It always disappointed me that going to Findon High I didn't see fellow pupils, McKellar, Blight, Huppatz, Holland and Cummins play for West Torrens. The message given to the club via the amalgamation has been acted upon and I appreciate it.

Interesting that Massie didn't speak to the players after the game. Very poor and implies that he thinks all responsibility sits with the players rather than himself. He simply does not have what it takes to be a coach in any capacity.

Seems like Mass takes full responsibility for the performance, last week...

It has been documented by some of the great coaches/ managers that there is little point in having an in-depth discussion immediately after the game, as players generally aren't fully attentive anyway.

Does Kris Massie not do this every week? After all, that's what match review is for, when you can actually constructively go through different aspects of the game.

What did you want him to do, LukeTorrens, go in and start yelling? In all honesty, what would that achieve?

I'll agree with you MO - I don't reckon post game when emotions can be swelled is the right time to address the group, at least not initially anyway (if at all). I really can't see it serving any point for the reasons you've mentioned.

When the post-game review takes place, that is when you hope to get your message across in the right manner and for player(s) to actually take in area's where you've been critical and improvement is required.
