West skipper Ryan Ferguson has been found NOT GUILTY and is free to play against South Adelaide on Saturday.

Is Shipway heading up the tribunal these days?

No it's not OK to whack people in the head.

I didn't see the incident, but the general consensus from both Port and North supporters who did see it was that there was nothing in it. I guess 10 people can see the same incident and you get 10 different versions.

Maybe the player who created the problem in the first place should concentrate on playing football and not what he was aiming to do.

Still shouldn't create provocation to the extent it did. That being said, it's so amazing how it is more often than not the retaliator who is caught out anyway.

Agreed - but other teams will put a tag on him, run with him, but few, if any, have stooped to the low tactics that occurred on Saturday. The umpires should have picked it up earlier, but when it is so far off the ball...well....

Jimmy was always going to get off.
It avoids the embarassment to the SANFL when he wins the Magarey by 20, easier for them to chuck it out and move on.
Ferguson also not guilty

Why go to the trouble of suspending him in the first place?

Who knows with the SANFL tribunal.
Should of been an open and shut case, did he whack him or not? If the answer is Yes then he misses a game.
So by finding him not guilty that obviously means he didnt hit him and the umpires were lying

By the sounds of it, he was gulity of 'an open hand push to the chest' of Kulikowski so justice seems to have prevailed. There would be heaps of open hand pushes to the chest of players during the course of a game.
