Why would Sandery leave a side on the up, to go to a team that has peaked and is on the way down? Norwood, lol.....

Oh Fester, your belief is honourable, but for us all, you give us such pleasure...DICK!!!!

Sandery is leaving South. The travel down to training, etc is too much for him. He is weighing up his options with a few offers from amateur and country clubs.

I couldn't let this one go, eight and a half wins (lost more than you won) for the year including beating half a team in R23 which would have brought you down to seven and half. What a fantastic year. You then won a soft final in probably what was one of the worst standards ever seen in SANFL finals. The Bays had a shocker.

Sure we have a lot of work to do to stay in the top three and go further and I'm not certain we can do it but trust me you guys have a mountain of work and in my opinion you are all getting carried away with what was a fairly ordinary year. If you are happy with that year, you will keep failing much like we did.

Yeah...a bit taken aback. Great news on Cross when and if confirmed.

Wish Cocky could of stayed . We really need the big guys competing on the ground.

Will be sad to see him leave. :(

What about Daniel Bass? Now that he has been delisted by Port, is he staying? Loss of two big men wouldnt be good for the Panthers.

Always liked Cockshell as a player

I think Souths step up may take two back. Although Cockshell is too slow IMO and he showed that in the finals.

So already a few have gone plus there were question marks over a few from Victoria. Might be time to recuild after 1 year in the finals ,disappointing for South fans.

Will be interesting to see if has actually retired from all football, or just SANFL footy which I suspect.

He has been linked to Mannum in the RMFL in the past (his half brother Michael O'Malley - ex Sturt junior - plays there), I'm guessing that may be a possible destination for him for 2012.

You can blame Fuller for Cockshell's retirement, was first blamed by Fuller after every loss.

Reckon you can blame Cockshell for Cockshell's retirement .. The boy can play footy, but is far from consistent and didn't seem to me to be presenting in the shape he should be.

Full marks to a coach who commands standards.

Looks like the Doggies will be without Daniel Havelberg next season and beyond, will be off to WA with a teaching job apparently.
