We'll agree to disagree, mic, but most of your fellow North supporters have already agreed with my nthoughts (or I've agreed with them).

I thought West were super impressive.

I think he's agreed with your point that the scoreboard flattered North but then disagreed with your opinion of the game.

I'm more on your side though r&b, North have been a lot worse this year (and in the last 3 years) than Saturday, West were super impressive. Very well drilled.
North would kick to 50/50 contests at the best coming out of the backlines where West would almost always kick it onward with 2 or 3 clear possessions.

I didn't see the Central game but West and Norwood are 2 best sides Ive seen this year.

Stevie Morris was just on the 5AA SANFL show and he said that Nat Caruso's ankle isn't as bad as first thought and he could be back within a couple of months.

Here's hoping thats the case.[-o<

I feel the opposite old fella. The call was full of tangential trivia along the lines of whether Davenport lived in Torquay with Ablett, while the action continued. There was a very poor level of player identification (one caller in particular), with much of the call reduced to "a West Adelaide player gets it forward and the mark is taken by West Adelaide and that's a goal to West Adelaide." Scott Blesing was called a few times despite not playing in the game. A score was missed during an ad break. Nankivell is good, the others are way off the pace.

I know most of them are probably voluntary but the obvious lack of homework is real disappointing to be honest. Except for Big Phil of course. :-)

You sure it wasn't because your team were getting done jtc? ;)

In all seriousness, was he that bad and if so, what you want from him to improve the listening experience?
you know me better than that Phil.

Some people just don't go well the radio and in my opinion he is one of them. Sounds like he had just got out of bed mate. Maybe a bit of enthusiasm
If you get the chance to hear the call you'll see what I mean.

Yeah, sure, fair enough jtc, I appreciate the feedback. Thanks.

I was only kidding with that comment about your mob losing as well mate. I'll be sure to get a copy and have a listen, thanks again.

I respect that mate and that what makes this site great all have opinions and feel free to say them without rudeness --- I must admit that a good Westies win can make one bias. :D

Yeah, the hip and shoulder to the head which would have just been a free (if that) in the old days but these days usually is a standard 2 week holiday.

Cheers Wedgie, not what I wanted to hear. Way he was playing, and his blonde hair, I was hoping he was a Magarey chance

Having seen the incidents I think Birss is in big trouble (1-2).

Delvins and Morris should be ok.

The Macreadie one wasn't caught on camera. All you saw was Allan on the ground and players rushing in.

I think all 4 will get games.

Birss 1-2
Delvins 1-2
Morris Rep-1 That was very late.
Macreadie is gone. Even though it wasn't caught on camera, the umpire had an excellent view, and you can see he can't wait to get the book out. 1-2

I've just watched the first half on video and I agree with your conclusion, nickname. John Nankivell was good, as you say, but the other commentator was even worse than you say when you watch the video. Apart from the numerous times he just called 'a West Adelaide player', when he did name someone, it was very often incorrect.

His calling style is OK, but I'd suggest he does much more homework and watches plenty of videos of the teams he's calling, or else uses binoculars if he doesn't already do so.
