Oh dear... you have to love the irony!!! 8)

Got on 'Heckle & Jeckle' Show about 6:15pm tonight, outlining my concerns.
Naturally, Cornes goes off on a rant.
Anyway, got to say my piece & wait for it...

Rowey gives me a double pass to Crows vs Eagles on Saturday!!!
I think I might go with a new sign - including the WAFL & SANFL!!!

He's probably counting on it mate - don't forget he was a WAFL player pre SA days, and he knows how important it is for us to keep control of our SANFL.
Enjoy

Speaking of which, there was a big day in the WAFL today. 7000 at East Freo v Souths, 6000 at East Perth v West Perth and 2500 at Subi v Claremont.

Although there's been bigger turn outs to individual games, it's the largest turn out across the comp that I can recall since I've been living in Perth.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

No, today. Foundation Day public holiday in WA.

The WAFL has the traditional derby games (EF v SF, WP v EP) on the Foundation day, although it usually either just one or two games from memory. A couple of years back Easts v Souths drew over 9000 people and they weren't prepared for it gate wise and catering etc.

It just shows the local comp is alive and well over here after it's death knell has been sounded a few times. Crowds are up for the whole season and have been climbing in recent years. Gives some more ammo to the anti WCE and Freo having reserve teams.
It's all the SANFL's fault.
