Out of interest, how many from each side's GF team played today?

That's something I was wondering myself.
You'd think both sides had a similar number out.
And while Phillips played today, you'd not compare him to the player he was in the GF given his match fitness.

Can u get reported for not making contact?? Lucky he missed him by the length of the flemington straight though.

That's about what I thought ... Norwood has a few more out whilst Central closer to full strength.

Depends what full strength means in that context dedja.
A number of those blokes from the GF are no longer at the Parade.

Yeah true ... The Dogs seem to be able to cover changes from year to year without problems.

Not suggesting that the Dogs didn't outplay Norwood at all ... just think Norwood are a bit more unsettled at the moment and will get better as the season ages.

Whether they can rise the the level of last year is yet to be seen.

The Dogs look like they'll be around the mark again obviously ...

Fair Call but i think Jay Nash, Chad O'Sullivan and Alan Obst will make a difference as the year wears on.

Also wouldnt be surprised to see Brad Symes, Ricky Henderson and Ian Callinan wear the red white and blue for large periods of the year.

Don't think 17 is correct.......off the top of my head I've got Milne, Westhoff, Hardy, Dunne & Schiller.......but Dunne was a late replacement for Nash.....

Yeah, would have been 17 x 2010 Premiership players for the Dogs had Nash played.

With Dunne coming in for Nash as the late change, that made just 16.

Jokes aside, Eagleton has been extremely ordinary the last 2 weeks ... what's going on there you think?
