This is a Glenelg supporter telling opposition supporters not to get too excited at early season results.

(insert own joke here)

Yeah, he should've said "....don't cheer and clap your team off the park after winning a trial match again Norwood"

You must have been at different games. At last years Port Vs Bays match he was booed by Glenelg fans more than Port supporters.

And it was worse the week after when he had both Glenelg AND North supporters on his case. I even saw Graham get physical with a bay supporter after a verbal tirade.

First I have heard of this , tell us more about the incident .It's very surprising it wasn't mentioned anywhere.

I caught the end of it but Cornesy had a bloke by the shirt collar and was giving him a proper dressing down. It was talked about on radio the following week.

Allegedly Graham was booing Chad and didn't appreciate that there was a Bays fan who wasn't booing him ;)

Went out to Playford Alive Oval today to watch the Centrals v Sturt match.

Centrals, to my surprise for the first trial of the year, started quite well. Skills were quite good for this time of the year, and they jumped out to a 13 point lead. The second quarter was all Centrals, who kicked 8 goals to 2 and were all over Sturt, who looked somewhat disinterested, as a commanding 52 point lead was set up bt Centrals.

The second half was a little closer on the scoreboard, but Centrals skills were more polished than Sturts and they did what was needed to finish the match with a 67 point win.

All up, for the first trial, and with a number of first choice players out for Centrals, it was a good win. While the scoreboard result doesn't matter at all in these matches, their skills were pretty sharp for this time of the year.

No I can assure you I wasn't at a different ground, must have been a different part of the ground.
He does everything possible to be a good Glenelg team member when he returns to us, and I haven't heard a bad word said

Anyway Today he did well. If we have him again I won't mind at all

Two things here ; concerning Sturt seemed disenterested and the same mentioned last week in the last Q. Very concerning here if this is the case so early in fact amazing if it is the case. The second point about skills is not so surprising. Centrals are well structured and very skilled which is one reason why they have been so successful over a decade or more , SKILLS. Luke Norman really struggles in coaching and is way behind in this area.Sturt lack skills and those skills have declined dramatically since his appointment yet this does not seem to be addressed and nor doeshis game plan. Unless he understands it needs fixing Sturt are in for a long year , if he can improve some skills and alter the game plan , Sturt can potentially go deep in the finals however I doubt this will happen.

Port Magpies looked & played like a different team against the Eagles yesterday compared to last weeks trial against Sturt.
From the outset they looked more committed & desperate, the only thing that let them down was their goalkicking.
Ports attack on the ball & body was outstanding for only their second trial, they worked & supported each other in numbers all day with quick release handball, hitting targets with both hand & foot far better than last week, i was also impressed with their tackling also.
That brand of footy would no doubt see them win more matches this year, i'd expect them to win more of the closer games this year.
The Eagles were terrible, they'd want to have alot of good players to come back into that side ', i thought they should of lost by 16-18 goals.
Godden was only talking premierships last week, maybe they've got a little ahead of themselves!
I know its only a trial but i expected a better game than that or should i say better opposition!

Not sure of the quality of the opposition because they didn't provide names. The Eagles did spend most of their game as a rabble, largely lacking commitment to the contest. Perhaps a result of this being their first competitive hitout. Perhaps not?

With many key players at a wedding, there still seems to be plenty of depth at the Magpies.

Jeremy Clayton as the runner was another highlight.

So, Port Adelaide (and their supporters) have already taken the March premiers mantle! Normally my great mate Bunton and I take great pleasure in giving it to the Eagles and their supporters but I couldn't let this opportunity pass to take on the might of One Port Adelaide............ You blokes are kidding yourselves.

Blah, Blah, Blah... You can only beat who you beat. And yesterday we beat the Eagles.

Of course the true litmus test will come in 2 weeks time, when we take on the might of South Adelaide.

Or on April the 2nd when you play your first meaningful match of the year.

Can't wait to support my plucky underdogs as they battle the One Port monolith.

Obst played as the main lead up forward and presented well kicking 3, showing he will be a like for like replacement for Daniel Schell...

Templeton might surprise a few, was pleased to see how well he went, considering he had only played a few B Grade Div 4 games...

He is a good size and showed fleixibility to play both in attack, kicking a couple of nice goals and then being shifted into defence, where he probably didn't look quite as comfortable...

Was disappointing from a fans viewpoint .But with players to come in from injury like Treeby ,Hentshcel ,Parry and a lot more .id expect the Eagles to improve by round 1.
