I reckon the Eags hold an edge in footskills, so we will need to harass them upon disposal all game long and as with most games, cant afford to waste our opportunities near goal when they present .. Very nervous about this one

Why would you want to replace the Grand Final specialist topsy,

Has kicked 9 goals in his two gf appearances.

Also the Eagles AFL players have a history of not performing come finals time (I know they havent all let us down i.e. Stevens in 2000 and Skipworth in 2006).

Strangely Norwood will go into the game hot favourites, but I feel the Eagles would give Central a tougher game in the GF. They have showed that they have the mental toughness on the big stage (Norwoods time will come after a few more finals series)

Gorringe is a 17 year old kid who will go early in the AFL draft, Sannsbury is a has been who never made it. Give it a rest Central fans FFS.

Be careful there AH,

Sansbury has played alot more AFL games than Gorringe has at this stage, alot of water to go under the bridge before Gorringe play as many AFL games. How is Gorring going early in the draft going to help Norwood win the flag this year.

This is why Central have been a powerhouse in the SANFL this decade mate, hey may not of been a star at AFL level but his a brilliant SANFL player, if you had watched his previous two SANFL grand finals appearance you would more than realise this.

I guess with no Norwood in there though it may have been a bit Boring.

Agreed. It's a shame Dan doesn't have the luxury of going back to the reserves to run himself back into form.

Will the curse of Central strike again,

Not to many teams the last two years have been able to win the week after playing Central.

At this stage hard to have a bet on the game as both teams appear to be "coy" about naming their 21 players.
From what i gather from my Eagles mate Henschell has a real trouble with his hamstring and won't play, Salter looks about 65% fit, Miles still very marginal and there is a problem with Parry which happened late in the match last Sunday.
Norwood look like they are trying to balance their team to meet certain opposition players and they themselves have a couple of players very sore from last week. You can safely say Bown will play for Norwood as he has been training for the last two weeks flat out and his versatility and experience is a vital ingredient in a knockout final match.
All in all should be an exciting match which deserves a large crowd and hopefully we see sensible and non obtrusive umpiring realising the spectators come to watch the football teams not the umpiring team.

Here are the latest odds for the game:

Norwood $1.70
Eagles $2.15

And for the flag:

Centrals $1.52

I would like to see the formula your Eagle's mate used to calculate the degree of Salter's fitness ;)

Seriously though, is the 35% fitness deficiency in relation to match/endurance fitness or injury related fitness?

Salter's fitness is from what i hear a combination of endurance with a niggling doubt about the injury problem according to a very valued connection.

Johna I'm not 100% sure about Hentschel but have been told he's a starter. Also watched Salter,Miles,Parry train they all looked in great shape. And my mail is Miles was nearly a starter last week against the Bays ,but they erred on the side of caution!
If your Eagle mate was at training last night I didn't see him ;)
