Interesting watching the trainers put three stretchers together to get him off. He is a big man.

Never like to hear of a player getting stretchered no matter which team but especially in a neckbrace. Hopefully was just overcautious then.

And funny how he didn't get a free for it? Definitely accidental, nothing reportable or malicious, but those get paid as frees. And then the collision that forced Lewis off, he was penalised for high contact!

Personally, I thought neither should have been a free.

Can anyone (reasonably close) to the club, tell me if having Stephen Rowe as part of the coaching set up, is a positive or negative - in light of his statements on radio during the week?
He paid the Eagles ZERO respect, talking only about his lot & how they'd respond. Clearly they didn't.

I don't see how he can coach match days but not be at training but that's just me

Great win today especialy after the slow start. To have the first 4 goals of the game kicked against you and to come back and win at all let alone by 39 points. What a massive effort. But at what cost with injuries to Treeby, Lewis, Redden and Hentschel. it will be very interesting who if any of those 4 get up for next weeks game.

But what's the point of making the finals MT79 if you gonna continue to go out in straight sets.

And another quirky stat is back in 1999, we beat every team bar one in the minor round, but defeated them in the finals. This year in the minor round, we beat every team bar one. And like 1999, we defeated Glenelg in the finals. And just like 1999, we face Norwood in the Preliminary.

Hopefuly a reverse of the 99 prelim final result.

Actually, I saw Fuller at the game today.

And I suspected that Hentschel was just off towards the end as a precaution; playing out the last 2-3 minutes with 17 men was of course not going to matter.

Edit: Oh, oh, can I add, that this is why only 3 players on the bench are needed, because it is more meritorious to come off with a win with say one fit player, or no one, or whatever. It doesn't happen often anyway, having one player left on the bench with a quarter to go.

difference is west weren't on top of the ladder most of the year. Glenelg continue to be an overrated team.

They talked about it on the SANFL Show on 5aa but nobody had an official figure...one thought he'd heard it was 12100 and another thought he'd heard 13000ish
