The Leading Teams concept would've been introduced by Healy, given Ray McLean's involvement at the CDFC in around 99/00.
Healy would've seen the benefits there.
Given Jawoskyj's (spelling???) comments, it'll be interesting to see if the set-up remains at North next season.

Righto, I'll make sure Centrals drop the concept then. It has had no bearing whatsoever in the change in culture at the club over the last 20 years. Glad you've let us know, we can stop wasting our time and money now.

Many believe it works, many believe it doesn't. Premiership teams have had it in place and some haven't. Sorry not SANFL related, but I thought some of Akermanis's views on it seemed reasonable. Would largely depend on the actual leadership at a club, personalities involved and reaction to criticism (I would think).

Exactly. It's exclusionary by nature.

Newman nailed it when he talked about "amateur psychologists".
