The weather is likely to negate any differences in ruck strength, but despite this I think that McGinty might get a run. It can't hurt to give the kid a bit of experience before the finals, and what better place for it than HHO?

Pumpa is clear to the play for the Dogs this weekend if he/Berri/Centrals want him to.
He was up front of the RFL tribunal last night and got off.

Nearly but not quite.

He was once dragged painfully by the ear by his then editor across the floor in front of the rest of the staff. He then parlayed that admittedly poor behaviour by his boss into the dream gig as 'roving sports correspondent in the States'. He then arrived back like a conquering hero and has carried on like he owns South Australian football ever since. He's also got a villa in Tuscany he spends a vast period of the year in so maybe there was a cash settlement component with News Limited as well.

All a true story for any nervous moderators.

Interesting dilemma for both sides is the weather imho.

eg, for Central both Havelberg and Schell are horribly our of form and with weather conditions expected to be pretty bad it may be hard to fit both these blokes in the one forward line.

BUT come finals in the dry weather both these blokes would be definate starters so does Roy play both this week maybe to the detriment of the team but securing his line up come finals.

Or does he pick players to suit the weather and then maybe be forced to make a swag of changes come there first finals game in hopefully two weeks time.

This is testing you abit Spelly BUT

would Central this season have set a record for the most ins and outs in total for a season. eg, Round 21 they had 4 changes, round 22 they had 4 changes again so forth.

I dont think we have played with an unchanged line up once this year and am thinking we have rarely had any less than 3 changes on a weekly basis.

Havelberg is clearly out of form and struggling to have any sort of impact, but Schell hasn't been too bad. He's clearly not able to take over a game and beat 2 or 3 opponents anymore but he's providing a target, getting a few marks and getting a few shots from CHF. Havelberg just seems to have lost some speed off the mark and some of his power. Makes it really hard for him to win the ball and even on the lead he's not able to get the mark before the fist comes in very often. Perhaps he could get some touch back in the reserves but I'm not convinced anything but the preseason will get him going again. Dare I say it, but there's a spot for Matt Westhoff or Jack Gunston to play FF if they can get some form going. Westy wasn't bad in his games. He looks laidback and lazy but he wins the ball and kicks goals.

Will be interesting to see if Williams and Switala are inclusions this week. From what I hear O'Hara is just about done for the year.

P.S Thanks also, I learnt a new word today. Hagiography wtf, I thought it would have something to do with Nick Riewoldt. ;)

That Mark Newell from localfootysa is an interesting character isn't he??? Hates Central with a passion...

Back on topic, with Sellar not being allowed to play for the Tigers and Lachy Button out, will they go with young McGinty or just use Kirk as their back up to Cranston?

Agreed with the comments re Mark Newell, who could well be a love child of Michelangelo.
I had to write a comment asking Mark to put up or shut up if Central beat Glenelg. He got on my nerves so much! ;)

Not Warren. He likes to try to fire the dogs up, but I suspect it's more likely G. Cornes. Lol.

Good to see the four very handy inclusions.
A bit stunned to see Hardy dropped to the Ressies though.

Feel for the Hardy actually. He was a mainstay in the backlines when Milne went down and was asked to ruck. Looks more and more likely he might lose his spot completely for the finals because I think the club prefers Sutherland as backup for Buckets. And now he has Sibenaler to compete with as well.

Good to see Williams and Jenner back.

WTF is with Hardy out, surely can only be a match up issue, personally i thought he has been our best big man the last weeks and was probably our best forward last week as well.

I would much rather him in defence than Reichart plus he has the ability to play multiple positions.

I like the selection of Gunston especially in the wet weather. In saying that this will be a massive test for him, at times i think he lacks forward pressure and isn't willing to work hard enough when he doesn't have the ball, Laird won't accept this especially come finals. He has plenty of natural ability and can play anywhere on the ground but will need to combine the both. I think he will only get one crack, a bad performance here and he will be back in the ressies.
