I thought that 2-all would be the final scoreline; not a high scoring 8-6....oh, hang on, I'm on the right board am I? ;)

Philosophical question: Would you rather your team win playing unattractive football or lose playing attacking football?

It was a top tackle, but if tackling really did bring people through the gates, we'd see bigger crowds at Rugby League matches. When tackling becomers the ultimate highlight in a footy game, we've lost the plot completely.

Senior Coach Report:

Round 14 v Norwood

In the last three weeks we have scored a total of 22 goals. 6 -10 for a loss against Centrals, 10-8 for a win against the Eagles and then 6-8 goals for a loss against Norwood.

All three games have been played in good conditions, yet we are having great concerns about getting the ball forward with any authority. Our inside 50’s are too low with our statistics indicating too many turnovers between the arcs. The quality of our kicking to our forwards needs to be smarter and we need hard running players who want to get forward and kick goals.

We reflected heavily after the game about our inability to score highly since round 1. We have had high scoring quarters but not a full game. We still come back to skills and run.

We like our pressure on the ball and at the opposition but we dislike what we are doing with it.

Andrew Rogers (Assistant Coach ) said to the players that the experience of pressured games will make them stronger in the long run in regards to better decisions and improved skills. We need to kick more goals, we want to kick more goals and I will make sure they get that message again this week on the track.

Better decisions combining with skills and hard running will give us the outcome we want. Port at Alberton will be a great challenge.

Regards,
Andrew Collins

Centrals, Port and West are flooding bastards whose sole aim it is to stop the invincible Norwood juggernaut?
