And if there's any doubt we played really, really badly we made Hinge and Herring look like footballers. Bizarre.

Yep i agree its a good sign to lose.

"The Norwood Way" huh what Norwood way. I had a joker next to me yesterday carrying on about the injustice of Norwood missing out on the 2nd AFL license in favour of the filth down at Port Road. My goodness, this bloke actually beleived Norwood would've been a powerhouse in the AFL. Lets try and be consistently competitive in the 3rd best competition in Australia before booking a berth at the MCG eh. In fact, why not try and be the best club in the eastern suburbs of Adelaide before looking east of the border.

**** sake mate you sound just like Graham Cornes. In the second half of our existence we've won more premierships than your mob has in your entire existence. Try again.

not that long ago didn't both these clubs wanted to almagamate & join a different competition ? also don't they have a joint luncheon during the year ?  ;)

Yep and at those luncheons we talk about all those Grand Finals we've won against Glenelg, but there's never enough time to discuss them all so they have to kick on elsewhere at an after party.

Hope you've been on the cans for a day to write such a stupid post ... All clubs attendances increase when they perform and similarly they all lower when playing a poor excuse for what we call football, how were your crowds when you were serving up spoon after spoon?

In the light of the new day I have seen the responses and on reflection my post was a little unfair. I know all clubs have fair-weathers so to that end I apologise.

What I will say is the thing that gets to me (an obviously touched a raw nerve) is how people can head to the footy, witness a great contest amongst a big crowd with the atmosphere to match the numbers & then come home to jump on the computer to have a moan about how 'Unley is the worst ground going around' and missing out on a hot dog....gets my blood boiling I am sorry.

Anyway, apologies again. CP I've always rated your perspective so to be brought down a peg or two on a post that was unwarranted is not a problem.

Despite Norwood being complete sh!t for ten years and the Dogs winning everything in that time it's nice to know they care so much about Norwood being beaten.

I guess if your own team can't do it you need to celebrate when other teams do.

Yeah, that's comparable.

Lets make it perfectly clear.

I'm sitting on my chair. These two elderly ladies are to my left, a man to my right. These guys rock up 10 minutes into the first quarter, completely block out the view of the ladies, block out my view of half the ground, and had I of moved over, I would've blocked the other guy.

Sure it's not a big deal, but you're honestly saying that what they did was fine? I guess having respect for others just doesn't exist these days.

1. It was a pretty ordinary game. Good crowd sure, but skill level by Norwood was shocking, umpiring all afternoon was disgraceful.
2. Bigger fish to fry, surely mate? Gets your blood boiling? Hahaha!! Take a survey, I think most would agree your home ground is the pits.

All good mate, play on .. We're all passionate about our clubs, and pretty fierce about defending them where possible, I know I am so I wouldn't expect others to be any different.

Geez some of you Norwood supporters are nice and bitter.

Get pumped then slag the food and oval!

Well the oval is great - sure would be better how it was, but SFC has had the biggest average crowds in the comp since going back there so the fans like it.

How about NFC move to Tea Tree Gully? Might be happier there surrounded by pokies and ferals. Bandwagon sooks.

Go the Blues!

I have to say, yesterday was the first time I'd ever been anywhere near the playground area and was amazed at the number of kids and family .. Unfortunately our ground isn't setup to be overly kid friendly with no grassed area's, I thought it was pretty good to see .. The Bays always do a good job at getting kids along to the footy too, makes you feel much better about the future for our comp.

when you have 5000 peeps at Unley Oval, or Norwood or Glenelg, it's always going to be difficult to have a clear view of everything. Why don't you just take your soapbox & stand on it? or a cherry picker ;)

Going to back this one up?

Norwood lose the game and they blame the hot dog van not having enough food, the beer can running out and also the umpires on their lost. How about that Sturt played a good game of some hard running and tackling and for at least 3 quarters were able to break the Norwood AFL zoning.

If you lose to Port next week are you going to blame the power headquarters?

They were the same the week after Sturt beat them and Sturt then lost to Norwood. Loved your mob that week. Bitter poor souls. Jas even predicted it in the opening post. They are quite predictable.

Good on ya CP, nice to hear a level headed comment.
Sturt have to make the best of an awkward situation concerning the ground, council and residents, I think it's a great ground for a young family to go to to watch a game of footy and have a day out.
Some of you really want to pull your heads in and take a wider view on things instead of pumping out the same old tired rhetoric over and over again. I've never ever come across a dog crap on the oval and I really doubt any of you have on game day. Lastly, if you don't like the place then don't go, no ones forcing you to and your negative surliness won't be missed. Stay at home and kick the dog you miserable fu^#ers.
