Dunno if this realy needs an eye roller just yet - 13.10 is hardly wasteful, and IIRC the bays have kicked more goals than points in all four games so far. Massive improvement on the last two years in that department at least.

purch wrote:According to the radio? According to the radio the scores were "such and such" today...and those scores were allegedly wrong on several occasions.

That's after one commentator allegedly said something along the lines of this: "In all honesty for SANFL league football the scoreboard should be manned by a league official (I always thought they were) and bar anything else they should have a radio, because a lot of callers keep manual track and thus discover an error fairly quickly. If nothing else it's useful confirmation"

Of course callers getting the score right is another matter. So...Was there a problem with the radio commentators or the scoreboard attendants today? Maybe it was the announcers Phil? Got distracted??

Poor form purch. For all you know the radio announcer might have known someone who was 13 years old, or once volunteered at something. Give the guy a break.

Don't know where you were, LBT, but I thought that the Central Supporters near us were very good. Their language was a fair bit better than the Glenelg bloke standing behind me.

But I moved to the family-friendly area at 3/4 time

it is a role which demands both responsibility & intelligence, therefore should be treated with more respect & be performed by an official of The SANFL, after all, it's not Salisbury v Salisbury West Under 15's, FFS!

It was a good atmosphere, a great game of footy watched and well attended from a patronage point of view...

And your man Heater played well coming back into the side, didn't he...

Oh, look, he gave a way some very silly free kicks throughout the game but to hold Grima to just 1 goal was a good effort and on a few occassions provided some good run and contested well in the air with a few spoils.

Not in the best half a dozen I wouldn't have thought but a good game nonetheless considering his interrupted start to the pre-season with his nuptials.

true and he will only get better as time goes by but Grima I thought was woeful, even if no-one was on him!

My favourite comment of the day was from a doggies fan to the bays players walking down the race at games end. "You cant even blame your goal kicking this time. You were simply crap".

Very disappointed with the lack of nipple protection afforded to the SANFL player there. The league really needs to take a look at the AFL's safety standards and get the tape on our blokes man titties as soon as possible. Chafing is no laughing matter.

I think whufc is refering to the first part of your comment maxyoz. Gee dutschke must have upset you by winning too many premierships.

I know exactly what WHUFC was referring to, hence the :) And I don't think Central Districts had won too many Reserves Premierships back then, so it wasn't that.

There's been some funny ones yelled out by Centrals supporters over the years at opposition players when they're coming off the ground at the end of the match!!!

Anyone know what was said at Josh Carr as he was going down the tunnel??? Obviously didn't like it.

Dunno if this realy needs an eye roller just yet - 13.10 is hardly wasteful, and IIRC the bays have kicked more goals than points in all four games so far. Massive improvement on the last two years in that department at least.

not having a shot from 40m out would be considered a waste..... specially when no shots come from a wasted handball !!!!! just repeating what has been posted....
