get a humour bone gents...so presume you dont like the username Chambo100 then?

I am all for good humour mate, unfortunately it's just not that funny.

answer the question...

can understand its not funny to you

I would have thought someone celebrating an achievement (100 goals in a season of football) by incorporating it into their avatar name is a totally different kettle of fish to sticking the boot in with your childish effort?

No it's not funny to me, nor do I think it is to any fair minded SANFL football follower from any club. I guess if there are other Glenelg supporters on this forum of the calibre that were standing near me at Unley yesterday then you will get the odd tick of approval.

Does that answer your question sufficiently?

Yep I agree mst - still if he wants to look like a front running tool let him. I can't recall ever seeing that sort of thing from any Centrals supporter and after a decade of dominance they perhaps have the only right to be that obnoxious. I must have missed the decade of dominance from Glenelg?

I must admit i have often marvelled at the restraint and good natured posting that Centrals supporters have shown on this site, not cocky as they could be given the decade they have had. The odd Glenelg supporter carrying on like a fool is a bit embarrassing in comparison. They obviously have blocked out the history of the Glenelg Football Club from their minds.

But after half time, Glenelg controlled the centre & midfield and just shut down Sturt's running game, and supply to Chambo (although I thought Mills did a good job on him).

Wasted a lot of ball in the forward 50, but with a couple of key inclusions coming, that should sort out our forward structure nicely.

Well done to Chris Hall on his 100 SANFL games. Well done to Sammy Rudolph & Gus Lally on returns via the B grade.

The Bays won all three grades v the Blooze too this weekend 8)

watching the game yesterday on t.v and imo glenelg are clearly the best team and should be hot favourites for this years flag. one player though that stands out is mconnell for the wrong reasons i reckon he would be the most laziest player in the league by a country mile he does not work hard enough as a small forward he wants every thing in long so he doesnt have to move and when he does lead its half ass at best, he is in the side to kick goals and even yesterday he was passing the ball off when he is 30 metres out from goal so he,s decision making was poor as well. would have thought that a team that is playing bloody good footy and have a very good list would have someone fitter and better for this roll in the bays forward line.

Still doesn't hide the facts of Robran's post. Against North he was lucky with at least 3 of them to be honest. The first one Davis gifted him with an appalling pass that hit McConnell on the chest. You might argue he was in the right spot but he was the only Glenelg player not chasing his opponent at that time (and for most of the game).

McConnell will be playing finals football with the Bays....in the reserves. When Grima is fit he'll be sent straight back to Mick Godden's forward line. If in the unlikely event Hinge recovers in time to play then Duldig would be the next out, but to be fair I rate the bloke and he always seems to play well against us.

Can anyone provide me with a crowd figure from yesterday?

Cheers mate. So based on the slack way the SANFL count heads and then collate figures on match day, we can safely assume there were closer to 6,000 at the game. It felt closer to that for mine.

A great crowd.

I'm making the assumption that you are marveling at the depth of the Glenelg football club?? Amazing isn't it that they have such quandaries to deal with. Even more amazing is that no matter how many late changes seem to get thrown at the Tiges they can bring in a Plant, O'Grady, Duldig, Clayfield, McConnell or Kane and the structures hold up.

You assume correctly milbo. Glenelg have great depth and are a spoilt for choice when it comes to quality, key forwards.

Still doesn't change the fact J. McConnell is a lazy, one dimensional footballer and I for one would be happier facing Glenelg in the finals with him in the team.

Settle down ladies ... let's change the tune a little ...

How influential does the great Warren Partland really think he is in the grand scheme of things?
Another predictable line about Glenelg being favourites for the flag in The Ragvertiser ..
He must be seriously deluded if he thinks he can fire up the Bulldogs and lull the Bays into a false sense of grandeur with that garbage.

Unfortunately he does it all the time, never tips Centrals and often lays in to them even when they have a win. No doubt there will be some letter writing going on again soon.

He certainly does, and from what i hear he thinks no one notices either. I truly believe he thinks he has been greater for Central Districts Football Club than Gowans twins combined.

Settle down bay fans. Dont get carried away.
That was a good win against an inform team on their own deck.
But we can play better than that. And Sturt definitely can too.

The season is far from over.
Yeah, Naah,..... Bollocks!
