Clearly there is much interest in when Norwood changes coach, and to whom? Trev has a battery of assistant coaches to help him with his structures, are any of them likely to succeed him? Brodie for one would be keen to take over.
Brodie can get stuffed. He was more interested in walking around prior to the match, and again at half time, walking around with a smile on his face catching up with all his Sturt buddies. Didn't look too concerned with Norwood's plight to me.
... although, come to think of it ... maybe he was just pleased that the senior coaching job at Norwood would soon be available.
I would suggest it is now a case of 'if I don't laugh I'll cry' for Brodie.
Sacrificing three or four nights a week of his time instead of being home with his young family, putting in a huge amount of work with the midfield and setting up some rotations that he feels will give the side a chance to win footy matches.....only to have the senior coach abandon all the plans as soon as the heat is on, week in, week out. I reckon I'd be pretty over it too.
What was Brodie supposed to do when approached by Sturt people pre-game, snarl and ignore them? He spent seven years at the club, his club, and won a flag and MM. He is currently working hard to contribute to Norwood and deserves better than the crap you posted mate.
Grow up Hawk.
Your support for a favourite son is both understandable and admirable, but Brodie along with the other Assistants and the players themselves need to accept some responsibility and criticism for the clubs performances ... I'll be one of the happiest people at the Parade to see the back of the senior coach, but he's not solely responsible for the insipid, soft and skill-less performances we're seeing.
As for acknowledging past teammates and friends, no problem with that.[/quote]
I take your point CP, but unless you or Hawk for that matter have spoken to Brodie personally and can gauge the level of responsibility he feels for the performance of the side, then it's purely an assumption that he
isn't feeling partly responsible, is it not?
Brodie is an extremely proud bloke and one of the most fiercely competitive people I know, he doesn't like losing board games let alone SANFL football matches. He played the game with a relentless desire to succeed, always gave 100% even if under duress and expects all players under his tutelage to give the same....
Believe me, the situation Norwood finds itself in is not something he would be at all happy about, not least for all of the reasons stated above.
