Make sure you give you kid lots of lollies an cash for not having to put up with that inept crap today, you would have been much better off watching a Southern Football League game.

Wessie who took me to Hong Kong gave me a lift today, can you believe that?
What a great guy! :D

I'm so lucky to have such great mates, and there's no way I could have got through another SANFL game sober today, so awful.

Read through any of the match threads and reviews from 2006 and it will tell you how good the matches were. The SANFL was a shining beacon over the AFL in terms of scoring and free flowing play, but over the past two years it has gone backwards.

Sounds like some people here should do themselves a favour and stay home on a weekend. Or go watch the afl if you want.

For mine I'll take the sanfl any day of the week. No lining up for a beer, piss, food or a park. All at $10 bucks and with my lad (for $0 bucks) for a kick and a catch. That is the no brainer!

The standard (good or bad) for grass roots footy, would beat sanfl sides pre-crows or power. You forget just how much progression has been adopted by the sanfl in its game style. An absolute shitload more accountable now than back then.

Show me the number of 100 point beltings we get now compared to back then.

Anyway, I am happy as a pig in poo going along to local footy.......THE REAL FOOTY!

I don't want to appear disrespectful, but that's the most ridiculous thing I've read on this forum. Next, you'll be telling me Brant Chambers is a better full forward than Ken Farmer was.

Don't give a toss. I'm happy with it and you can go do what you want.
Jump off your "beloved" Legs or whatever.

If you don't really care about it (sanfl) then go away!

I agree with AH, the standard now is nowhere near what it was in late 80's.

only because the VFL sucked all the real good players out of our league. always gunna happen but its still the facts. if u still love your club regardless , u can still get a decent footy fix . nothing wrong with a few bevvies, pie or steak sanga with your mates without getting crammed, and still can enjoy a ciggi and banter . kick n catch with the lads and lasses . nothing much has changed in the SANFL apart from the crowd numbers but once again, if u love ur club, u will be there.

Not my fault North supporters are more supporters than Norwood supporters, just one of the reasons I jumped off the Norwood bandwagon in the late 70s. ;)

The good news is I paid for a footy fan to go to the footy today for his first SANFL game since 1995, the bad news is I don't think he'll be back and who could blame him. :(

Us Norwood supporters have got to stick together mate. Unfortunately I think its hit a T juncion in my family with my dad, my mum and me all being Norwood supporters, unfortunately my kids, friends nd missus are smarter than me.
And as my Dad always said, who could blame anyone for leaving Norwood as they have the worst supporters in the league.
(who could blame him for being bitter, the first game he ever went to was the 52 GF, poor bugger, 110 points wasn't it? That's only 9 points off being as bad as the Power!)

I just wish they'd had Pale in the late 70s, as a 9yo when Norwood only sold Victorian beer I decided it was time to move on, little did I know they'd end up being the only club with a decent beer on sale! :(

I was a Southwark fan as a young kid, imagine if they were the league sponsors now, more palatable than the current mob I'd reckon.

This is just too confusing. Is Wedgie North or Norwood?
If that can be clarified, it would put his comments in context.
