Heart Beats True, at $300 a game thats close to what a first year rookie gets in the SANFL, these guys didnt cause u in any way to go over the salary cap, they reduced you match payments, didnt increase them. In 2009 the 3 lads u recruited to stay at your club will cost you more like an
extra $1500 a game being generous
I hear a few clubs pulled out of the bidding for Bryce Campbell at about 50K, others bid higher so divide that by 20 to see what he gets a game

FFS. Are you going to get that I'm not blaming AFL listed players for us going over the cap?
If it reduces match payments or not thats not my arguement. (by the way, I dont think it does reduce match payments as the AFL listed usually takes the spot of a fringe player). Still causes uncertainty of what your match payments will be week after week, and the SANFL club is doing the AFL club a service by playing them. Should count for zero towards the cap, and the $300-$500 should go towards player compensation for injury, retainers, fringe benefits etc, or even match payment for your own players. Let me say this again. I'm not blaming AFL listed players as being the reason Norwood went over the cap.
I'll leave it at that, but you keep believing that Norwood will be at least 100K over the cap for 2009, and if no fines next year, then Norwood must be hiding it well.
I reckon with all this digging you need to buy a new shovel. I hear Bunnings has a sale on them this week so get in quick.
