4 players from other SANFL clubs were recruited for the 2006 Season, and three of them were/are excellent acquisitions - Adam Grocke from North, Brad Dabrowski from West and Matthew Cooper from Sturt. The fourth was Travis Oakley, who kicked 5 goals in Round 1 of that year and only played a handful of League matches after that.

but has anyone mentioned Warren Ralph at the bay?

Won the lottery or something and left?

LMAO. Was over in Melbourne last week, and was talking to a bloke re the SANFL/VFL days, and he mentioned Warren Ralph, as he knew I supported both Glenelg & Carlton. He too mentioned Lotto....

Can't remember whether I mentioned him or not but...

David Flood from Essendon to Centrals

Got one good year out of him but as with his AFL career, missed too much footy due to injury.

David Flood...must have been the only dud recruit that Torrens ever missed out on. Centrals and Torrens both made a big play for him...he worked out about as well as Stephen Carey did for us.

He didn't have too bad a year in 1996, his SANFL debut season. He kicked 5 in his very first game for us against Norwood @ Footy Park but didn't really go and kick any big bags, ending up with 41 goals from 17 games. His constant hamstring injuries restricted him to just 2 games in 1997 and that was the end of his SANFL career.

Has been pretty succesful in recent years in the coaching ranks. Reckon he took Calder Cannons (possibly ?) to a TAC Under 18's flag in recent years and I think he was an assistant at the Bombers for a little while as well after he left Adelaide.

Weston played some good footy at Essendon, but really did nothing when he returned, first with WT, and then at Norwood. Anyone know how old he would have been when he returned to the SANFL?

That dude from Sturt with the pony tail...

Paul Kennedy I think, not sure if he was a Sturt local but I remember him having 1 or 2 good seasons here before carving out a VFL career with Sandringham I think ?

There was a guy from Div 1 Amatuer league I think, named Will James...

Came out to Centrals with these massive wraps, played 2 league games for the Dogs in our first premiership year of 2000, then dissapeared off the face of the planet. I did see him walking on the Parade the other night, made me think to put him on this thread.

He was a tall, key position player with blonde hair, played CHF I think. From memory, it might have been Adelaide Uni he was from ?

PK actually came from Sandringham across to Sturt, after leaving Sturt he tried his luck with the gaelic game but then returned back to Victoria. He is currently playing with Frankston now I think.

Wore number 5 from memory and kind of had a bit of a hunch...

Dominated reserves games from full forward and maybe played a couple of league games then went back to Tassie...
