Petrenko, 24, returns to the Club on a permanent basis after 6 years with the Adelaide Crows where he played 76 games. Petrenko who progressed through the Eagles junior ranks prior to being drafted will add great flexibility to the Eagles existing midfield.

Coach Michael Godden said “Even though Jared is only 24 he brings a lot of experience to the group. His aggression and speed around the footy will certainly add an extra dimension to our midfield. Although he was disappointed in not getting redrafted Jared was out training with us the day after the Rookie draft which was a great sign he’s enthusiastic about next year. He’s body is feeling good and he looks in great shape so we’re really excited about the footy he can produce this year.”

Please join the WWTFC in welcoming Jared back to the Club

Yes agree Ferrett, Petrenko will be a very good addition for the Eagles, when he came back to us previously he was always amongst our better players.
76 AFL games aint no flash in the pan, although he never really looked set at that level.

Trust me, you would not want to stand (or sit) next to Ferrett at the footy, very, very passionate Eagles man!

But he does know his stuff, especially SANFL!

And agree, Petrenko will be an excellent player next year.

Ferret has a history of being 'fun' to stand next to at the footy. His best 'fun' though has been in the grandstand where many humorous incidents have taken place over the years.

According to the Glenelg FC Facebook page yes.....

Personally I think he has done the right thing to maximise his chances of playing league football and possibly get noticed at AFL level.

RECRUITING UPDATE!
The Glenelg Football Club wishes to announce the recruitment of the 2014 South Australian Under 18 State Captain, Jake Johansen.

Jake, a former Port Adelaide Junior, has decided to make the move to Brighton Road in search of playing consistent League Football.

We are very excited to be adding Jake to our list and we look forward to seeing him in the 'Yellow and Black' for season 2015!

Not that any of us with half a brain needed it, but further evidence Port are just an AFL reserves side. Why do they have an SANFL reserve side?

To give their top-ups something to do when the Power don't have many injuries?
