WWT are definitely a loose cannon in this and can't be trusted.
Many links to the Crows starting with Bill Sanders in 1991 and finishing with their current coach who publicly supported the concept a couple of months ago.
But they are one club.
The Crows and Power need six to get this up.
And I remain convinced Central, Glenelg, North and Norwood will not be moved.
Unsure of South's position.
Sturt and West vulnerable because of financial situation and West Adelaide's close ties to the SA Football Commission

Can someone explain to me how much better off all the clubs will be financially if Crows/Power get teams in the SANFL league?

WAFL clubs getting around an extra $150K ... offer here will be in the same ball park.
But how much will they lose in falling gates, sponsorship and membership levels?

Would be pretty hard to tell, there will be upfront money from the AFL clubs, but then you have to think thats some clubs like Sturt are going to have to replace a fair few quality footballers so there would be a substanial outlay in transfer fees etc, in Sturts case as well you would think they would have to pay a full salary cap which you wouldnt think they would be doing now due to so many 'free' players in their league side.

History shows there is potential of a crowd drop as well so that may have to be factored in to any budgeting.

Apparently it keeps Port in the competition and gets rid of the bye are two major items.
So much for the destruction of the comp and watching years of Port v Crows Grand Finals.
Even though this is expected not to happen as the teams will have so many weak top up players . Oh Yeah!!!
My support of the Crows is waning, back to my original Essendon I think

I feel the same way. Crows have lost me. Have no interest in them any more. I enjoy their losses more than their wins...

Getting rid of the bye is a reason for those desperate for reasons, while not ideal when it happened I reckon its now great for the comp to have a bye every 8 weeks, players love it also. Even the AFL have brought the bye in.

If the league does bring back an even number of teams, then it would be appropriate to program in a couple of bye rounds like the AFL are doing.

Im heading to Centrals tonight for little brothers birthday dinner.

The guys should be training so i might try and bail Kris Grant up and see what his thoughts are on this at this current stage.

Or at very least let him know my feelings on the topic.

I wonder if the "One Club" arrangement over the last couple of years will form part of the SANFL's discussions with the clubs? Seems that the Magpies-Power relationship has advanced beyond the boundaries of what was agreed by the clubs. This has been largely unaddressed/unpunished to this point. Port are now going to go to the other eight clubs and ask for a big favour and in doing so make a number of commitments about how they will conduct their team. Hysterical references to 1990 etc. are not relevant IMHO, however the last couple of years certainly are. Hope this is raised and openly debated.

what should be raised and debated is how the SANFL clubs where stupid enough to allow it to happen. Hopefully this time those same people are smart enough to have any stipulations put in writing instead of just words.
