Yeah but eagleton still finished well in dogs b&f. Think the others were past it when they came back

Transfer fees are not included in the salary cap.

Does Eagleton class an Import for Norwood because he didnt play his juniors there and they have recruited him from an interstate team?

Think thats right.

Norwood have also got Jace Bode so thats two players in. If you think West are peeved about Eagleton I think Sturt are more so with Bode and deservedly so.

Hahn is asking for plenty but I would rate Norwood as favourite to sign him. Eagleton and the ability to pay should see him at Norwood.

If he goes to Norwood, I am most interested how they can be under a salary cap when transfer fees are part of the equation

We got some lessons from centrals :D

My word is Sturt didnt offer Bode a contract for 2011.

I believe he had a two year deal which they released him from. They are peeved about his effort and performance, after they assisted him off the field with relocating from Melbourne and assisting him to return several times to Melbourne. Didn't show much gratitude

Think thats wrong.
Eagleton and Bode did not originate from interstate therefore not counted as imports. This is what I think the ruling is, i could be the one thats wrong.
They're both originally from SA right?

Yes they are both from SA.

Bode would not be an import but I believe Eagleton would be. Hopefully someone can post with some certainty.

I know the original ruling regarding imports and when it starts from was appealed against by South and West and that appeal was upheld.

Read on another site that after a season off due to study commitments, Steve Bailey is returning to SANFL football with West Adelaide...

While former Bloods junior Jack Carter will be back at the Bloods after being delisted by Collingwood where he was a rookie this year...

With a transfer fee of 25K and then his wages, Eagleton will cost Norwood in excess of 50K this year. It's a pretty fair roll of the dice on a 33 year-old.
