The Sturt Football Club is pleased to announce the signing of Glenelg midfielder John Hinge. Hinge comes to us with plenty of experience at SANFL level and will add another outstanding leader to our young playing group. John is an outstanding player and we are wrapped to have signed him. John will play through the midfield and will also move up forward at times.

Just to add to the squealing going on here and to set some of the details into perspective, I'm informed by a reliable source that Boyd has cost Centrals well above any fee for Giles OR Hinge, in the upper $30's, and Parry has cost the Eagles slightly less than that, low $30's but substantially more than the bargains the Sturt have picked up. So stop the finger pointing, players move, get over it.
Just remember, if I have my details correct, Sturt stand to lose Coad for alot less than the transfer fees demanded by the SANFL for clubs within the league.

Your figure for Parry is way higher than what I was told .My source from Panther Land told me it was in the middle 20's .
And the figure being quoted for Boyd was in the middle 40's.

I'm lead to believe that the differences for Sturt at least has alot to do with contracts and whether or not a player has one with a club. But low $30k for Parry is the info I've been told.

As I said player info from Panther land was Parry cost mid $20K's.
But we as fans/members/supporters will never really know.
Boyd was priced out of the market by the incoming coach at Panther land.Almost worked but the doggies still bought him

Yeah, I did hear luke Norman speak the other week on radio saying the club was still in discussion with him.

I put it in there because it was written in a Messenger article when the Blues signed Hassan.

Will edit him out until something official comes through from the club.

Avery is a loss - added depth to the club last year and probably was one of the unlucky ones to miss the GF.

He is originally from Victoria and perhaps has decided to go home.

I read in the Sunday Mail that Surt have completed a medical on Ex West Coast Player Adam Hunter. I would think it would cost Sturt big DOLLARS to get him considering they already have
Hinge, Hassan & Giles.
