surely norwood would have enough to cover him as he isn't worth that much

When has that trifling matter stopped Norwood?

LMAO, like you blokes can talk

You're not seriously comparing our $5000 breach brought about by not having a GM for 6 months with your club's flagrant cheating?

Ah ok, so it's a non-issue when you do it, but worth crying about for a year or more when we do it?

Both clubs exceded the salary cap and were caught and any attempt by you to try and make your breach less meaningful is pure sophistry on your part.

With any SANFL CEO other than Darren "I'm here to hasten the death of the SANFL" Chandler Norwood would have received the same limp slap on the wrist West received for their salary cap cheating.

Topsy, your first sentence accuses someone of sophistry.

Your second sentence is sophistry verging on paranoia ;)

Seems to be a lot of arguing happening on this forum between supporters of clubs who i'd class as "mid-table rabble" [-X

Back to more important things...

Is Jonathon Giles a definite out for Centrals??? That's a big "out" if he is...

It's fairly common knowledge Chandler doesn't like Norwood and he fined them accordingly.

Funnily enough it was Westies people who were privy to Norwood's fine before the club itself was, I wonder if the SANFL have tightened up that ship sized loophole yet?

Yes it must simply be because of Chandler's dislike of Norwood that they were fined and penalised so heavily compared to West. Because it wouldn't have anything to do with the difference in magnitude of the breaches or the circumstances behind them.

I think you'll find they were fined according to the League rules which had a massive loophole in them, that allowed the Club to get of lightly. If the league were serious, they would have further investigated how they managed to bring in so many high profile recuits for 09 without loosing much from 08 when they were already $50k over.

All they would have needed to do was ask the Clubs former President who was telling everyone they were $150k over in 09. maybe that's why he jumped.

And they would have been shown the new and reduced contracts all the players signed.

They play for the love of the guernsey at Norwood. :D

would craig parry's arrival to wwt have caused him to make this decision ? or is it more to do with time or injuries ?
