He is suggesting they are 'downhill skiers' Jimbob which intimates they are soft, don't win the hard ball, only win outside footy and generally only like it when the going's good but go missing when things run rough.

These players are allegedly in discussion with our club but until these discussions are proven to be fact then I would have thought loyal football supporters such as Dutchy would want to stick by their player(s)? I don't recall any Bay supporter suggesting John Hinge was a 'downhill skier' when he was playing terrific footy before his unfortunate injury blow? The word fickle comes to mind....

On another note, it would appear I have been asked to apologise for daring to suggest things were/are not rosy down at Brighton Rd. All I said was that if supporters want to bury thier heads in the sand and deny everything then they might be in for a let down. Now Glenelg supporters want to play the 'he wasn't in our finals side' card with all of the outs so far but at the end of the day if the likes of Holmes, Block, Duldig and possibly Hinge are leaving/have left the question again has to be posed....Why? (particularly Holmes & Hinge)

'Come on down' Dutchy.

May the last player at Glenelg lock the door!!! I have talked to a few players at various pubs when see them around and from what I gather the players all dislike Mickan's coaching methods such as interchange rotations. I agree with a few post I have read my supporters of other clubs, way too many Glenelg supporters are denying there is indeed a huge problem down there. And this BS of "only reserve players" is crap, the reason we had been going good was these players were pushing hard for selection keeping pressure on the regular league players to perform. Also not just player's leaving the club but alot of unhappy bar staff who had been there for years not happy with CEO.

Sounds like the players have more idea about coaching than the coach and the bar staff have more idea about management than the CEO. If there is any truth to this mindset that appears to be creeping in at the bay, and I was a Glenelg supporter, I be very concerned. The last thing that will deliver success is the old South model of the in-mates running the prison.

Next you'll see Directors back-stabbing the coach and key staff - then you'll now the almost succesful period, is all over.

This is all very amusing, I for one am very happy all things arent rosey at Brighton Rd, cause we ****** up the past 2 seasons questions from the CEO down to the bar staff should be being asked. And I believe this is what Mickan is doing to the playing group, you either want to bleed for the club in its search for a flag or piss off...and some have, to other clubs.....so be it, when I go to the footy next year I want 21 blokes representing my club that are giving 100% effort to the cause, no less...

At the end of the day from our Prelim team we have lost no one apart from McGregor (1 game) and Fish (injury) - a great base to work with in 2010 IMO, others may disagree, but Id love to hear their arguement...

Can anyone confirm that Nick Lower might be heading Noarlunga way due to NFC not having enough money in their salary cap to pay him even close to his worth.

I agree completely. If the passion, desire, commitment and energy is not burning inside of every player then of course they must walk and I really couldnt care where it was to. I dont care who picks up who... who leaves who... I care solely about the GFC and it being the best club it can be with the $$'s and resources it has available. I think you will find Hall and Block will be added to that list though.

My concern is as to why the blokes arent willing to do the hard work... put in the hard yakka. Why can the centrals blokes go through it (with a massively larger amount of their players married with kids) yet we have blokes losing their "passion". Sure I dont want them there if they have... but I am just wondering why it is that so many this year have lost it. Maybe it is coincidence? Maybe it isnt?

Like it or not the list does read(and I dont need a run down on how many league games they played in 09 nor that they were "no good anyway") - Fisher, Holmes, Block, Sugars, Hinge, Leibelt, Duldig, Hall, McConnell, McGregor and Day. All of those 11 blokes were good honest contributors to the club but arent willing to commit again. I am fully aware that our quality of young blokes is exceptional - O'Grady, Carey, Snook, Hitchy, Sam S plus the inclusion of Rudolph and the growing in stature of Kellock....will cover the losses but Im sure we'd all agree we didnt want nor would have foreseen that many good clubmen leaving.
