By my estimates there were maybe 20 to 25 in the southern part of the grandstand.

You would be absolutely right,
we also estimated the few clappers after a crows goal.
After the game I saw another 3 leaving the mound.

Thats very stereotypical there wedgie. You full well know they were at home knitting and baking. Also they were attending a how to boo class in preparation for Friday night when Judas returns.

So how could they manage to get to the SANFL game with all of that going on? [emoji12]

Funnily enough I was at the cricket club before the start of the league game and WESLO security popped in to let the barman know that nobody was allowed access to the balcony area as there had been complaints made by Crows officials of to much heckling from opposition supporters during the game.
I know there was an incident there a couple of years back involving a North supporter throwing a Crows membership card at them and security going nuts over that.

Should've thrown them some apricot slice, or better still, handed it to them on silver platter with a smile and a bow. They're a bit wary about 'opposition' supporters, they never really exposed to them surrounded by like minds at Adelaide Oval.

Most of them would have been support staff.

When they ran onto the ground you could hear a pin drop it was so quiet, I've never heard it that quiet at any time during a SANFL game before, when they got their 1st goal there were a few light claps

IMHO, even with the extras from Sturt I dont see how that crowd could possibly been 1000

Yeah but do you honestly think they are going to report a sub 1,000 crowd for a game involving the Adelaide Reserves.

I counted less than 150 in total in the outer before half time.
At the game I thought less than 1000 in total including Sturt reserves players officials supporters.
But the official figures are the real figures.

Could the Sturt folk have left before the league? Not sure how large te Sturt contingent could have been, but the weather wasn't the best, they may have left early and still been counted in the figures.
I wonder if there were more Sturt supporters there to watch the reserves than Crows supporters? I think that'd have to be up there amongst the most damning stats for the Ravens if it was to ever occur. Surely it didn't happen this time but I think the potential is there with the crap numbers they draw.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

With the fancy new electric ticket machine doo-dads that the league have now installed, surely it would be easy determine accurately how many Crows fans turned up?

If so, I guess the problem might be more about disclosing the numbers than taking them?

That would be a survey worth doing.
