North were really impressive thought Shannon, George Thring, Gordon and Campbell all played really well.

Though Parry's bump was fine would hate to see that sort of contact removed from the sport!

Any chance Gallman or Ivens will be playing this week?

What about Johnny Boras could he get a gig a full forward?

Really looking forward to the Roosters making it through to the "big dance" and creating some excitement . The SANFL public deserve a better send off when the curtain falls on "arctic park" . A repeat of last years GF would be ......a yawn ! Roosters by 10 points would be ideal !

He would have been filthy at the players throughout the last half. And they deserved a spray.

Pathetic performance.

Yesterday lose after a 37 point lead at one stage
Two weeks ago Eagles defeat West by 71 pts at Richmond

Does the term "Chokers" come to mind

Big call.
You label a team chokers when they have no recent history of achieving on the big stage.

They did choke in these finals, but I wouldn't label them as chokers overall.

I didn't call the Eagles chokers I just said it came to mind.
We do have an enviable record in Grand finals since 2000
We do have a lot of disappointed and angry supporters out there who are very unhappy with the finals performances, especially the last two years

The Eagles were never going to be good enough with Rowntree (best mid), Grocke (best fwd), Dunstan, Allmond, Culley (1st choice full back) out injured on top of losing McKenzie, Cicolella, Grieger and Shirley last year.

We are a couple of quality midfielders away from being a very good team. Taking the disappointment of two second half fade outs the last two weeks, there has been way more upside to this year than downside. Reserves and U/18's already in the Grand Final also bodes well to club depth being built.

Never had a problem with Parry always thought he was a terrific ruckman and he should be remembered for that.
Great career in my book.

The power houses of the 00's
Centrals : lost last 4 finals
Eagles : lost last 3 finals
Neither won a final during the last 2 years.
The wheel turns but still two good clubs who will bounce back.

Well done to Craig Parry and, if this is it, Luke Powell on two great careers. Seven state games and 3 premierships between them. A shame that it had to end on such a low note, like Cicolella et al last year, but they'll be remembered as greats of the club.

For 8 of 9 clubs it usually ends on a low note.

Parry was great for us and we and he suffered from his ill discipline from time to time, but he was no thug. I can recall serious and cowardly acts in an earlier era - hits on Woodville's Richard Champion in 1990 (against Bays) and on Woodville's Roger Coudraye in 1978 (against Port), on North's Jaworskyj in 1970s (against Port), on Damian Nygaard etc. etc, etc.

edited for accuracy ;)
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Delusional.
He epitomised a thug. Trying to deflect it with 20,30 year recollections doesn't cut it.

We were a premiership team 2 years ago. I too don't agree with the chokers tag but we have definitely under performed.
