What would you do in 2014?

Strongly Increase your attendence at the SANFL, I would go to the majority of games involving Port or Crows.

6%
Slightly increase your attendence of the SANFL, I would have slightly more interest in attending games.
3
3%
Stay the same, nothing would change to my SANFL attendence

30%
Slightly decrease means you would go to a few less games each year and think twice about renewing your membership (but might still do it)
16
18%
Strongly decrease means you would go from being a member/volunteer and attending most games to only going once or twice a year, for example.

Wouldn't attend games at all and wouldn't renew my membership

Incorrect - the crowd figures this year so far for the WAFL are down on last year, with the AFL alignments

Not sky falling crowd figures falling Macca keep up mate !!!

I support my club no matter who they're playing or what competition they're playing in.
And if a restructure gets rid of a bye and means I see my club more often as well as getting to abuse Crows supporters at Prospect then its an added bonus for me.
Not sure Weslo will agree!

IMHO if you don't follow your club just because a comp changes as it has several times in the last 140+ years such as most recently in 64 or 91 or as it may in 2014 you're not a true supporter of your club. Just my opinion though and I respect others.

My ideal setup?
8 team comp with no Port or Crows, no bye and no severe watering down of talent pool.

I agree as long as my club doesn't become the Crows .And I was told last week by a board member the Eagles wont be . Then I will continue to follow the Eagles rain hail or shine !!
And if the Power want a side in the SANFL goodbye Magpies the area to be spread between the other teams . Oh and seeing the AFL is coming in lets raise the Salary cap and go shopping !!!

I'm going back to suburban footy.

That's a name I have not heard for a while..?

Go Salisbury West and Seaton Ramblers and Wingfield United. :D

That's three battler clubs. :D

Thats a good comment dogger. I think my next stop might be down to ingle farm or greenacres to watch amateur league. Its more honest football and it wont cost me $14. Im finished with norwood if this goes ahead.

Would you still have to pay to watch a Reserves competition?

My answer was probably go to the SANFL a bit less, but see what happens. If the Eagles vote for this concept I won't be getting a membership next year.

Are you serious??? Your ONE CLUB, the PAFC got "promoted" into the big league in 1997 after years of you lot bragging about how big a fish you were in our pond and that you should be in the top league mixing it with bigger and better opponents! Well guess what, you got it in 1997!

We have had to put up with forced changes to our comp from 1991 (which was the result of treachery from the PAFC) and the effects on our clubs through no fault of our own yet you lot at Alberton are still not happy! You forced the Crows on us, then you whinged for 6 years it should have been you lot and when you did get in you still complain, cry poor, bleed us dry and f..k us over year after year! When will you be happy, when the SANFL disappears? FFS - the SANFL is where your club came from (as is the case with the Crows) but like the mentally deranged kid who thinks he is hard done by grwoing up, he kills the parents to prove he can do it better himself!!!

And there it is!

It's ALL about Port. Always has been.

Um the SANFL forced the crows on you not us. The SANFL could of let us go and be done with us for good. But no the SANFL wanted us and thats why the crows where formed, and if my memory serve me correct it was about half an hour to do so. It's funny how you wanna blame port for everything but not the SANFL. If the SANFL can't afford to throw a couple million to port how do you think they are going to survive when they sell the license and have a lower income from Adelaide oval? And YES Port did have to get money from the SANFL to survive but just remember NORTH have done the same with Rob Gerard, so before you start shoting your mouth you might wanna look at the facts.

OK 'inbreed' is a little tongue in cheek but ...
How is the stance of PAFC any different today than in 1990?
It isn't.
They are still only concerned about THEIR needs being met & 'bugger the rest of us'... sounds like Bruce Webber to me

Incorrect - the crowd figures this year so far for the WAFL are down on last year, with the AFL alignments

Taken from the WAFL website:

2013 - 105550 across 49 matches to the end of Round 13. 2154 average per game (includes one match with an approx. of 1800 after a typo on the WAFL site. Approximate taken from the West Australian)

2012 - 106679 across 50 matches to the end of Round 13. 2133 average.

With the WAFL it needs to be understood that this is a year of transition.

ie only 2012 drafted players were aligned to Peel / East Perth.

The full club alignments do not start until 2014.
