We, all clubs, should organise a sign of our own and display at all games one at each end near the goals so the ABC get clear shots every time a goal is scored

What did Chris Davies say about the sign??? tell him to piss off, is he a stooge of the AFL or the SANFL General Manager ??

apparently, unless it is something supporting one of the SANFL clubs, it's viewed as a form of propoganda & hasn't been endorsed by the SANFL.

According to what Centurion posted on the cdfc forum he was told pre-game via 2 Weslo Staff that Davies had told them to tell him that it was illegal to display anything at the footy that wasn't directly supporting or promoting a footy team.

Surely the sign as it was worded was directly supporting not 1 team but 8 teams so that directive appears to be poorly thought out???

Davies and the SANFL are pathetic if that is their rationale? It does appear they don't want to upset the delicate negotiations re the AFL Licence handover / buyback with any anti-afl sentiment but surely they need to understand the frustration and feelings etc. of those of us who are just interested in our clubs and in our comp. F#*k the AFL!
Piss weak SANFL and the CLOWNS who run it.

Don't tell me not to come next time, I've probably been to Lizbeff more times than you junior!!

I Don't think so. Have you supported Centrals since 1964? Been to every Centrals game since 1973 (less a handful for weddings, illness etc.)? I don't think so. You couldn't possibly have been to Lizbeff more times than me. I also lived in Elizabeth for 46 years. Hardly junior to you.

Davies is an AFL stooge.
Maybe if banners are not allowed there are other options.
Im sure that a group of supporters chanting right next to the mikes would make good listening on the ABC, im pretty sure WESLO cant stop people chanting as long as its not offensive

Thank you sir for your correction....but one " r " or two......doesn't distract from the fact that there were more than a few Norwood "supporters" there last night that might have been given a day pass from the local mental home.....just saying ;)

Hate to say but I think you mean detract. ... just saying. ;)

I doubt that the SANFL have the legal right to ban banners that have messages that they disagree with. If they ban one they would have to ban them all - unless they can prove that they are offensive (in the legal sense) or a health risk they surely have no right to stop them!

Have heard good things about Chris Davies, so in fairness it's probably worth hearing from him on the matter also.

Sure did but dont tell me you guys are not concerned even slightly, 6 losses in a row is unheard of for a long time up there. Not panic stations yet but must be some doubt creeping in.
