West Will enjoy a big slide thanks to player losses and the recruiting ban imposed - the only reason i do not have them below north and sturt is Travis Tuck - will be an out and out gun in this competition. Need big pre seasons and big years from experienced players like Ferguson, Schmidt and Ezard to make up for losses of fisher's/caruso/willits - however with game style they play ability can become less relevant! Just need some strong bodies. Wont see much of Brad Crouch this year.
North Player losses will impact more than player gains. High turnover of their list but too much quality and leadership lost in Allan, Bennett, Currie etc and not regained (almost impossible to regain 3 MM's & god knows how many best and fairest wins and places between them all but no fault of the club's just unfortunate!) Will be hot and cold in 2013 but end up toward the bottom of the ladder come september.
Sturt Coad coming back about the only positive I see for Sturt - player losses and dire financial situation also affecting their football department spending - the club staying alive the main goal for 2013 - Will once again heavily rely on AFL players and if they can see a lot of action from them they may rise up the table slightly - but without the AFL listed players things could get very ugly for the Double Blues!

Bring on the footy!

Hartigan from Werribee will help South's backline but McNamara no good and Thewlis not big enough for tall forwards other clubs possess this will be their downfall and see them in 6th!

So they weren't really that much better in 2011 then.

I do expect them to improve this season, being competitive hasn't been a problem for them in recent seasons, but often the W's have proven elusive.

IF they can develop that winning edge, the sky could be the limit.

Port still debating on Liam Jurrah as to whether he will play for the Magpies due to his "off field" issues but I wonder if they have put the same focus on another of their recruits?

They'll deal with him in due course or maybe the playing group will...

Alice jail, but in my opinion it probably won't come to that as all witnesses and the victim were as the locals say were, "full drunk Brus", so if he gets convicted it will be for a lesser charge and he'll be out on a bond. As I understand it there is enough evidence for it to go to trial but probably not enough to prove guilt beyond reasonable doubt.

Ainger is a huge loss for the Panthers surely he is the biggest recruit of the Summer claimed by the Eagles, cant see them replacing his quality in a hurry. Thanks Ronny....again!
