If they do want to reduce the teams maybe look at dropping the team that has the longest premiership drought. After all is it about premierships of the money?

And where are North in this grand plan ?

8 sides = 21 rds
play opposition 3 times in the minor rd

rumour is double headers are going to be part of the season!

Admission currently at $14 will be $16 for season 2014.

The salary cap will be given an overhaul along with recruiting procedures.

AFL to buy the two AFL licences when all the cards are lined up, SANFL to redevolp and utilise land around West Lakes for further income and the SANFL dividend from AO plus AFL dividends for passing down to junior development across the State (should be better than it presently is is) should clear the SANFL debt and each of the survivng clubs will be given a kick along payment to ensure viability moving forward.

Sturt are not in as much strife as being reported or suggested. Sure it has reasonable debt but so do a number of other clubs including mine who have no issues servicing it. Sturt just need to try and get a better deal and support from their Council.

The club that goes will be th Magpies - there is no way the PAFC could or would be allowed to field 3 "senior teams" and their wish for AFL Reseves will kill off the Magpie. At least this time the Port / One Club diehards will not be able to blame or accuse anyone but themselves or maybe the AFL once the AFL take control of their licence.

Note to Port supporters - be careful what you wish for if you think you will be better off under Andy's control?

Apart from $16 admission all sounds good.

I wonder if it was on KTs bucketlist to personally oversee the death of pamfc.

This port Adelaide reunification continues to exceed expectations.

I agree with this if it is the plan.

With one minor change, the 3rd game for each team should be played at a neutral venue preferably were the Finals are (Adelaide Oval??) so that every team gets a feel for the ground before the finals.

Cheers,

The death of the Magpies will come sooner than later. Read the following and if there is even 75% truth to it then you can guarentee some big changes in the SANFL moving forward. Once the AFL and their clubs can come up with a workable copncept for AFL Reserves then away they go and good riddance to them as well.

http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/sa-wa-clubs-to-go-it-alone-20120828-24ysq.html

Problem is the cost factor is massive and where do they get "top up" players to field 22 each week in the Ressies given the size of present lists and an increase will cost even more $$$. That is the biggest stumbling block IMO and a half arsed comp with teams full of ring in U18's is hardly going to develop fringe listed AFL players compared to the standard they get presently in the SANFL.

Interesting then that there are so many rumours about programming ( double headers ), entry costs, venues etc.

I remember a headline about the US invading Iraq because they had Weapons of Mass Destruction and we know how that went.
