North could be "The Young and the Restless" - boring as batshit and still the same tired lines going around and around in circles decades later. No one else knows where its up to either, nor could really care less.

Then South would be "The Glynn Nicholas Show". Bloody hilarious spectacle - but no-one ever watched it, and no-one remembers it.

Guess we should have simply done as your own club did and threw in the towel when things got tough and found someone to amalgamate with and had a welfare payment from the SANFL to fix up our debts caused by our own poor management? How is it that being a Merger of Two clubs that you guys still get one of the worst home match attendances in the SANFL?

You get to be a VB commodore, - two shitty European cars poorly bonded together, little thought to design or emission controls, Constantly flogged by the competition due to its limited design constraints (Port Adelaide, CDFC - how many GF losses again?) Had to have yet another amalgamation this time with a Nissan engine to make it eventually reliable due to falling interest from the public.[/quote]

The V.L. was the only model sedan with the nissan in-line 6. All other models had red, blue , or black holden motors.
Having said that, the VB also came with a 4 cylinder option, which from memory was an Opel motor.

Here endeth the lesson ;)

I'm glad I stopped buying Holdens after my three then - FJ, HR, HK Monaro (327 cu. in. Bathurst model).
I had a patient who used to put glass coke bottles between the door panels of Chrysler Valiants when he was welding them together.
