Daniel Motlop tweeted last night that he is the new coach of Meningie in the RMFL so I guess he won't be fronting up for North Adelaide this year.

There is a big North Adelaide connection now in the RMFL with former players Motlop and Ladhams coaching, Meningie and Jervois respectively as well as former assistant coach Shane Collins coaching imps. Then Coulter and White both playing at Jervois.

Just a bit of updating for West for the official list:

Outs should include Ryan Anderson (local?) and Michael Shearer (local).

Ins should include Matthew Westhoff (Richmond Rookie list).

ROOKIE DRAFT:

Congratulations to both Darren Pfeiffer and Cameron Shenton for being selected in the 2011 AFL Rookie Draft.

Darren was selected at pick number 3 by Port Adelaide, and has commenced training with the Club already.

St Kilda selected Cameron with pick 30 and he will join his fellow recruits and the Club’s coaching staff for a three-day ‘New Player Camp’ at Phillip Island this weekend.

We wish both the boys the best of luck with their playing futures.

NEW RECRUITS:

The Norwood Football Club is pleased to announce today the signings of Nathan Batsanis, Jaryd Cachia & Michael Newton.

Nathan a hardworking & quick midfielder is a former Port Power rookie who recently played in Port Melbourne’s 2011 Premiership team. Nathan works extremely hard around the ground, is an excellent kick & is damaging near goals.

Jaryd was recently delisted by Carlton, where he was rookie listed. He is a tough inside midfielder who loves a contest, is an excellent tackler, has plenty of courage and uses the ball really well by hand or foot.

Michael is a Key Forward from the Melbourne FC who can pinch hit in Ruck if required. Michael has good mobility, is a good kick & a very strong overhead mark who will add plenty of strength to our team.

These three boys join Ben Warren as having signed with our club for the next two years.

Welcome boys.

Brent Macleod confirmed OUT for South Adelaide.

Disappointing for the club, really liked how he went about things for a young kid in league footy.

James Turner also confirmed as an OUT for South.

Confirmed tonight at the CDFC AGM by Kris Grant and Les Stevens that, sadly for Dogs fans, Daniel Havelberg did get the teaching job in remote WA and will be an OUT for season 2012. A big loss and will be very hard to replace.

Justin Bollinhagen has now signed with South, returning to the club after (pre-mature) de-listing form Freo, very good news for South as this kid can play.
