Overall a good game of footy and a good day out! Great crowd too - thought it might have even been higher than 6,552 but who knows how they count the numbers these days at SANFL....
Was a bit diasappointed that a half time, both hot dog stands ran out and the central canteen was also sold out of pies and pasties. We've had similar problems at Norwood in years gone by, but at least they didn't run out at the BBQ or the beer venues
Glenelg played some very good footy at times today and given the Dogs are yet to win after the bye this year (IIRC!), the Bays are a chance next week at Dog Park.

Without hi-jacking the thread, Central arent coming off a bye against Glenelg.

Sorry - no offence to the Magpies intended South had the bye this week - we play them next week so my wires were well and truly crossed.

I think Squawk can be forgiven for a couple of 'out of character' errors here.
By the way, just how many tinnies did you celebrate with today mate ?

Not enough to rival Constance_Perm and ca during and after Rd 2 vs Sturt at AO - those after-match concerts had them both VERY thirsty that night

Random observations:

- all 3 grades lost for the first time in ages
- Luke Jericho seems to worry more about what's said to him from the outer than what's happening on the ground
- who said umpires don't have a sense of humour? Blast one and he gives the thumbs up and wins the crowd over
- torps x 2 ... I suppose a droppy is out of the question?
- don't fall asleep in time on in the 3rd or the game can get away from you
- don't marry a Norwood supporter and definitely don't bring her to the game when you lose
- shorts in winter are cool
- the timeclock was working ... hooray!
- don't turnover the ball when there's no-one between you and the opposition goals
- someone must have found some old records during the week ... a few versions of the original club song not heard for years made their way to the turntable
- the 2011 Magarey Medalist is shite
- good crowd, hope the club made some coin
- Let it go Mouse, you play at Prospect now- why is the BBQ dearer at the Southern end?
- seems that some Crows supporters were lost
- Centuwion, you were wrong!

Was wondering how much power the AFL clubs have over selection etc of their players. The reason i ask is because i saw 18 guys in Glenelgs ressies that are better than Hitchcock, he would have to be one of the worst and softest ive seen in the SANFL for a long time. Are Glenelg allowed to drop him or would they get told he has to play?

Have to play 2 games at league level after coming back from the AFL I thought. North have had the same problem in recent seasons.

Don't judge the Snouts member's opinion of Sam Rudolph by 1 or 2 posters - those couple of people are negative toward everyone at GFC atm

I could be wrong, but I understand the rule to be the SANFL club is required to play an AFL listed player dropped due to form, for 3 matches in the league team. If they are coming back from injury then they can be brought back through the Reserves (eg Danny Meyer a few weeks ago)
