Incorrect.

Festers original complaint was about $15 for children to access members and sit with their parents.

Better luck next time you play "trying to deflect blame on how pathetic Port Adelaide has really become" . :D :D

So Port Adelaide set these numbers, or the SANFL?

And the carry over champ has played his deflection card viewers!!!!!!

Craftily blaming his favourite usual scapegoat(SANFL) for this situation.

Why are Curtain raisers back on the agenda and families like Festers forced to fork out $60- extra to watch an SANFL game???

a) cos SANFL cant attract crowds and crowds numbers are decreasing ????

b) because Port Adelaide continue to face dwindling crowd numbers and are severely struggling financially ????

AFL set the prices. I will go and watch the Sturt curtain raiser game when we play Port and stay for the main game and i dont barrack for either Power or Carlton. I dont get the chance to watch many afl games due to football commiments but i want to get my moneys worth and enjoy the privilege of the members or the outer.

$15 for 4 hours of footy is a good deal.

Seems like a common sense approach mate, well done.

Unless you are a junior or an all games season ticket holder it is going to cost you a bit more than $15

Its not that bloody hard.

The members section won't be full for the game, SANFL can make up a pass, distribute it to the Norwood/Sturt members which allows them unlimited children to come along and sit in the members with their parents.

Also as a good will jesture, they can give them a free car parking ticket.

Port magpie supporters the same deal, provided they are members.

Port Power supporters can stay at home and watch it on Foxtel or Free to Air like normal.
If at first you don't succeed , then destroy all evidence that you tried in the first place

First, the venue for the SANFL game between the Port Magpies and Norwood was decided - Footy Park. The ticket prices flow from there and the league did not think the issues through.

Will any section be full? It will be interesting to see if extra tarpaulins are brought out between the main game that starts at 11.15am, and the post-match activities.

For the Sturt v Port / Carlton v Power I hope they take the tarps off. Last time Carlton played, GA room sold out, and only left the Northern stand available at inflated prices.....

If they roll out some tarpaulins over the SANFL fans near the end of the Port-Norwood game they might have a chance of keeping some of them in the ground.

Then they'll be charging those patrons for "undercover" seating, LOL

Go Legs wrote:Booney, yes the adult all season tickets get you into the outer FOC, but at this stage the admin at AAMI stadium guarantee you no particular seat and the Power members are fully entitled to ask you to move on if you are sitting in their pre-paid allocated seat correct?

Alternative arguement, do you or any Port Magpie/ Norwood true supporter really want to be asked to pack up and move all through the SANFL game??

Your whole argument could be resolved by AAMI allocating a couple of covered bays to Port Magpie/Norwood supporters. Then covering them up if required after the final siren of the SANFL game.

My guess is that will not happen, the game shift was agreed by both clubs and the SANFL to make the whole "One Port" approach look successful to both Port Magpie and Power supporter groups at the season home game opener and the greater TV audience encouraging more membership sales and a lessening financial burden on the SANFL and its clubs.

The pity is, that a significant number of both Norwood and Magpie supporters will leave straight after the first game maintaining no alliance with either the Power or Freo.
Cheers,

DOnt forget to give your pass outs to those fans lining up outside.

Especially if its a travelling supporter. They are always very appreciative and it will make their chances of returning to Adelaide greater next time.

Don`t get caught giving your pass out to someone, the SANFL don`t take to kindly to this.
It happened to a family member of mine a few years back now.

Booney wrote:I take all that on board and appreciate your considered comments and agree that the $15 for a child to join a parent in the members is OTT.

But surely for one game, a little over 2 hours, sitting on the "other" side of the fence is of little consequence?

Does your ticket through the NFC not get you ( as an adult ) into the outer FOC?

Mate you really are missing the point!!
When I go to SANFL games I stand where I like and with who I like, the majority being AllGround Season Ticket Holders.

So do you expect me to ask 20 or so people to come out to the outer because my kids only have to pay $2.50 to sit there. Or should I pay the $60 (which I will) so we can sit with our mates in the Members???

Footy is also a social thing for me and my family,as we have great footy mates we see each week.

My original complaint was being told that as part of Junior Membership (which were purchased last November) free entry to all SANFL minor round games was included. The extra $$$ were never a factor, just the principle.

Go pick up some bottles, they're worth 10c each. Even better, come grab the bottles in my backyard, probably got at least $50 worth.
Problem solved.

Are your kids members of NAFC Wedgie??
If so where does it say accomodation and flights and entry to Foxtel Cup games included???
NOWHERE!!!!
But if it did, and then you where asked to pay extra, would you not complain, even on principle???

it doesn't say anything on any NFC member's pack regarding cost of travel to see any match, but IF it did, and petrol money to Noarlunga and Elizabeth wasn't paid, then on principle I'd complain!!

I only want what I feel I am entitled to receive as part of my and my kids NFC membership packages. For the record my NFC Captain's Club Membership costs $600, so money isn't the issue here.

Anyway let's all play on, NFC members/supporters turn up in droves to support our boys then walk out in a big coordinated group 1 minute into the Power match!

As it doesn't affect me I haven't paid it a lot of attention, but there does seem to be a breach of contract issue here.

Yep, I'll throw my hat in with that also, it is about principle and it's up to the SANFL to stick by it, obviously when the SANFL and AFL become entwined principles go out the door and are overlooked. I don't have kids so it doesn't affect me as it will others that do, thus they will feel disregarded and sold out once again to the demands of the Port Adelaide Football Club.
I love my club, don't earn a shit load but fork out for a season ticket to make sure my hard earned goes to my club also knowing that I won't be able to go to all games, it's what I do. So I might decide not to go to the Sturt Port game out of principle.
In short, I think it's been poorly handled.
