Always happens, but people wont say anything bad about the SANFL and would rather bag the AFL every chance they get, so no one has mentioned that yet

I'd never really stopped to think about it, but thats actually a fair call.

True but at least we let our player return to his country club for finals ;)

Yeah thats good form from the Dogs .. I wasn't having a go at them either btw, was just agreeing with PAFC's assertion that we hate the AFL clubs raiding the SANFL clubs, but never see it as a problem for our SANFL clubs to raid the next level down.

No prob CP. I was having a shot at the AFL clubs who use SANFL to match condition their players and then stop them playing finals. Poor Form from them!

I'd agree with that. Unless injured, should be able to play finals. Surely a SANFL final or even premiership will help improve that player.

"Essendon has high hoops"

ESSENDON is auditioning a 204cm former NBL basketballer Chris Molitor with an eye to next month's rookie draft.

Molitor, 22, played five games for the Adelaide 36ers in the 2009/10 season but took up football this year and spent the most of the season playing SANFL reserves with West Adelaide.

Obviously the writer did alot of research on this, as Chris only played about 2.5 quarters in 1 SANFL reserves game the season just gone. He played basketball all season.

Was thinking exactly the same thing Slots It Through...

I was actually at that ressies game that Moliter played in as I was chatting to Westies Footy Ops Manager Scotty Turner about Chris and his basketball background.

Poor research, or lack of, indeed...

Nathan Rayner from the Eagles has been invited to train with Essendon for 3 weeks.

Not a bad effort considering he was playing Div3 Amatuers last year.

I must admit I didn't really notice him in the reserves during the year. However he was elevated to the league side in the final against norwood and I thought he looked alright

I think I get confused with Milera and the Weetra's during a game but I reckon Milera carved us up in the Res GF, kicking a great goal into the wind on a difficult angle at a time when Sturt couldn't buy a goal. Might be wrong but I reckon he made a mess of us again when we played down at Alberton this year. He definately shows something. Good luck to him.

Yeah, I knew that Kookas, thanks, it's all fixed now...

I had just 'copy/paste' the typing I had for O'Keeffe at Carlton (above it) but forgot to chnage Carlton to Essendon.

That train on list shows me that Westies are a chance of losing quite a few kids to interstate clubs as rookies. Just what we need.
