Assume you talking about the bump on Phillips Fester?

Was RIGHT in front of me on the boundary and was a legal bump mate, the issue for Flipper was that he just didn't see it coming so couldn't brace himself for it.

what about the king hit he copped behind play at the northern end pocket and the king hit Boyd got on the wing.

It was a great game today and both sides should be proud of the way they played. The dogs just know how to scrape themselves over the line when it counts.

To both sides =D> =D> =D> =D>

CLEARLY YOU DONT KNOW WHAT A KING HIT IS MATE [/quote]

Well what is your interpretation of a king then mate? Being a port supporter you should have a few examples
I wouldnt think that a bump was a king hit, isnt it part of our game?

Fantastic atmosphere, terrific physical match - and in true SANFL style it was as much the errors* that lead to goals than anything else - certainly in the first quarter. Interesting that we didn't kick one goal on the run in the first quarter, all four were set shots.

The Laird moves during the second quarter, and significant rucking move in the third quarter the difference. The "third man up" stopped in the third quarter, saw a lot more clearances from both Buckets and Sutherland, using the advantage - didn't see much of that in the first half.

Norwood were excellent, especially when they rattled us in the first half of the second quarter. Really blew the game wide open. We have a plan, experience and commitment to overcome those tides, but I must admit I thought we were too far down at the half in not scoring to that Northern end.

Best apart from 2000 by far - well umpired. No, beautifully umpired. Kept the soft stuff out, must be commended. Why don't we see that style of umpiring all year 'round. And thanks to Dutchy, Jax and all for the now 'premiership' signed guernsey...

ST...

P.S. Spurr's effort was BOG for mine, but Callinan set it up and delivered for four quarters...

*errors - induced in general from both sides by incredible pressure... :)

Well played Centrals, too good on the day.

Well done to the dogs (again). To give us supporters of the 'also rans' any hope of knocking the juggernaut off in the near future, who will not be going around next year at the Ponderosa? The usual suspects come to mind - Gowans x 2, Schell, Buckets etc, anyone else????

BTW, I thought Sutherlands dominance in the ruck in the third qtr was pivotal in the dogs victory.

What can I say, flares, good old selective WESLO and an attrocious winning supporter.....must be another Centrals Flag.
Anyone who knows a bald bloke flown over from Sydney with his missus in the members area, tell him he acted like a petulant baby and maybe next time save the flight money for the therapy. If you can't shake someone's hand in congratulations, even after you've told them "**** you", then you are just a tool, have a good look at yourself.
To the Father of a past Central player sitting in the members area (now playing in the Gawler League? with his brother), it was great to watch a great game of footy with you and shake your hand at the end, it's what footy is all about.
Again, Well done Doggies. =D>

I'm stll proud to be an Eagle though as we're the last team to beat them in a premiership decider.

A fair hip and shoulder that resulted in Phillips spending last night in hospital having his jaw wired? When was the rule allowing head high contact introduced?

Callinan killed us, got the only holding the ball decision of the day and deserved the Oatey. But if anyone tells me that Central weren't told to take out Flipper then I will call you a liar!!! Simply put Flipper stays on,we win.

My only regret is Norwood don't have a thug in our team to reciprocate.

Sour Grapes? Of course.
Do I care? Of course not.
I watched my team throw away a Premiership yesterday.

The Phillips issue was predictable - it had to happen to somebody.
Central have long demonstrated that they have learned from the Port Adelaide of old, and from the Brisbane Lions under Leigh Matthews.
They work out the way the Umpires are responding and take every opportunity to push the limits and bruise and wear down the opposition.
I don't blame them because that is the way the "game" is played, and they won fair and square in the terms that apply.
Norwood have needed bruisers too to be successful in the past.

I don't like it, which was why I chose to play a less brutal sport myself.
I'd enjoy Aussie rules more without the focus on "taking out" the opposition.

He would get about 8 games in the AFL if Buddy gets 1 or 2 every time he accidentally bumps someone high..
did anyone else see the Gowans eye gouge on McGuinness on the members wing?? Ordinary stuff..

What a load of chosen poppycock. If We are such brutal thugs, how come We are nearly the least reported side? Sure Wingnut cleaned him up, who wouldn't have? He didn't want to break his jaw, that was accidental. Sorry We won the fights too.

Any discussion about the bump on Phillips is through ( red and blue ) rose coloured glasses.

Pure and simple Phillips was completely oblivious to the fact that there was any traffic near him at all.

Sadly, the reaction to another GF win by Centrals is, on here, a reflection of the SA Football community's ho-hum reaction to another Dogs win. Dont get me wrong, their achievements are unsurpassed and we must all dip our lids to them.

But aren't we all just sick and tired of it?
