Yes, it's unfortunate that the City to Bay Fun Run clashes with the Bay to West Lakes Misery Drive.

Centrals are perenial favourites having competed in the last 10 GF's.
Norwood pushed Central in a hard fought contest only going down by 18 points.
Eagles are arguably the form side of this years finals and are the last team to defeat Central in a GF.

2 of the 3 Norwood v Sturt games this season have been close. Not boring.
Eagles are looking like a dark horse eliminating 2 of the form sides going into the finals. Not boring
Either of the 3 remaining sides have a real shot at the flag. Not boring

By the way the league is not a joke, it's the so called sookie footy supporters who are the joke, i have been following and supporting Central for forty years and for 30 odd years were ridiculed by opposition supporters, we all took it on the chin, now that the boot is on the other foot some so called footy supporters are not happy, so suck it up all you soft precious sooks and get on with supporting your club.
By the way was the League a joke when Sturt smashed Central in 2002, was it a joke when the Eagles smashed Central in 2006 i don't think so, ask the suppporters of these two clubs if it's a joke.
This thread smacks of petty jealousy by some knucklehead supporters so get over it.

My Central mate at work, he see's where I'm coming from, he too thinks it's all a bit ho hum winning each year, he doesn't even bother going to the games anymore, that is a sad event for the league as a whole.
We need people going to the game, not being put off by predictability.

Read the first post, Centurion.
I did say the SANFL was boring. It is no different to the EPL in the 1990's.
Plus I did say in that very FIRST post, it was the other 8 clubs poor efforts that are costing the league. To say that this current situation is good for the league, implies that if Central were to win the next 50 flags in succession, everyone would run around saying "what a successful league this is", that is naivety beyond belief. It's easy to come out with the "oh you're just sooking" comment, but poll the supporter base of the league, see how much support there really is for the status quo to continue.
The league has variation and surprises all the way up until, but not including, the finals. What just about every Central fan on here seems to fail to realise is what is good for them, does not necessarily mean it is good for the league. Port Power and Port Magpies joining together is good for that club, but many would dispute it is good for the league. If people want to sacrifice the league for the sake of their own clubs prestige, then you'll get a second rate league.
Let's have Sturt win the next 20 flags in succession and see who says it's boring then.
You've got red, white and blue coloured glasses on, you can't see the bigger picture. Again, for the umpteenth time since people fail to read my fricken post properly, it's the other 8 clubs that are failing the league and I put Sturt at the top of that list.
