Interesting that no one has mentioned either of the James brothers, given Roger has already been an assistant there and Brett was in line for the Legs job this time last year.

Can anyone remember when the last time someone coaching a country team was appointed to a league position? It seems every coach is appointed while they are already in the SANFL or AFL system.

Did Trevor Hill coach Norwood's Reserve's before being appointed League coach. I know he previously coached in the Hills, River Murray and an Amateur League club. I know its quite a while ago but i think Kevin Higgins coached in country Victoria before getting the Sturt job.

Thanks GWW. Not sure where Trevor Hill was coaching just before he went to Norwood. Can't really remember much about the Higgins appointment, must have been a bit of a surprise.
