It may explain while I, and most of my friends, rarely set foot inside any pub, and then only in private dining rooms, if they have decent ones.
Oddly, the last time I was in a front bar was some years ago, having gone there with some Angels I knew, and everyone behaved well while they were there.

I'm not sure anyone but locals should be allowed into Stirling and Aldgate, perhaps into Hahndorf on a tourist licence, but otherwise sent straight on to Mt Barker... ;)

What a terrible thing to happen. I can certainly see why you wouldn't want to set foot in a front bar again :)

Psyber, whilst theorising the benefits of geothermal power, had a detractor in the crowd, whom wished to engage him in a robust debate, which caused Psyber's departure, stating indignantly, that he'd never encountered such a ruffian, & if the bar-keep wish to accommodate such unscholarly gentlemen, then he would never facilitate a public ale house again!

At least not without my guardian Angels! ;)
Previous city/semi-city experiences without their presence were less satisfactory. although genuine country pubs tend to be better.

Dont underestimate the ability of geothermal power, I have recently been involved in a project that uses geothermal cooling technology to cool the floor slab in a building.

Isn't geothermal energy power that is extracted from heat stored in the earth?
You're cooling something with power from heat Booney?
Sounds like an inneficient route but Im ignorant in this area. Perhaps you could create a topic in the General Discussion board about it as it sounds fascinating.

I believe the cooling form of geothermal relates to shallow bores that are drilled into the cool earth, maybe only 10 or 20 metres deep. Water is piped down and back up, cooling along the way - this water is then circulated to cool something on the surface - in Booneys case a slab.

The other form of geothermal uses much deeper bores that reach down to hot rocks far below the surface. Water is injected down and returns to the surface as steam that is used to generate power. :-B

The main limitation of geothermal heat for power generation is that you need the heat source to be somewhere where they is also water available to run through the pipes.
I'm not an expert on this topic, but I have been informed that coincidence is rare in OZ, and that the cost of trucking in water to the available sites is what limits geothermal power use here.
My case would be that Thorium Fission plants, desalination plants, and Hydrogen extraction and compression facilities, should be co-located for maximum efficiency.
