If an AFL players is dropped and does not play SANFL that weekend because either his local club has a bye, the AFL club holds him back from playing SANFL reserves for bottom placed team OR he is held back from playing SANFL to be the standby or travelling emergency...

THAT COUNTS AS A QUALIFICATION GAME TOWARDS SANFL FINALS

So that being said this week will count as the 4th 'match' for Taylor Walker this week unless he goes to Brisbane as the travelling emergency and is a late call up obviously. If he travels and doesn't play, then it counts.

Walker does have a pretty close affinity with the SANFL, saw him at last years GF and have seen him at least twice this year at SANFL games not involving Norwood therefore Im guessing if given the choice I reckon he would play. You could almost say he is more suited to the SANFL style of footy than the AFL.

But he'd have to improve his recent kicking for goal. ;)

Walker will be a massive inclusion for Norwood for the finals, wouldn't he? If he's been dropped on form and isn't playing this weekend it will be pretty hard for his form to improve. I'd imagine he's going to qualify. From memory, he's done well aginst Centrals.

So does Josh Carr. I see him at SANFL games all the time, including games not involving Glenelg. Always good to see AFL players watching at SANFL games because they want to be there.

Walker still needs another game to qualify yet, assuming he doesnt play for the Crows this week.

Henderson will be a massive inclusion for Central, as would Symes and Griffin. Then there's the Westoffs. You'll almost have an AFL team running out in a Bulldogs guernsey!

Agreed, Symes would be great, he carries the ball through the centre. I don't think they'd drop him for two games though. He qualified last year but didn't play (early surgery).
J Westhoff would have been good. I don't think he'll get the two games either. He also wasn't released when qualified, last year I think?
Griffin is an unknown due injury.
Henderson would be good, especially if Schell continues to struggle with injury. He's probably the only "likely" inclusion.

Jay Nash is in the Dogs side now and you would think the Power would be okay with him playing for Central come finals and don't forget Jack 'Norman' Gunston can still come back in for Central. Out injured at the moment, will be interesting to see if the Crows let him play and whether or not he could fit in the Central league side with Henderson, Schell, M.Westhoff???

Put a line thru Griffen for the Dogs. Centrals have already been informed he needs rest and will not be available for the SANFL finals.

Dodgy ankle? Been bothering him for a few weeks now, the Crows shouldn't have been playing him during this time.

I reakon the Dogs would be dissapointed in that but probably knew it was more likely to be this way hence they got Sutherland as cover.

So what happens with Bock now? Does he play the season out with the Eagles? Who makes the call the crows or the Gold Coast? Can he qualify for finals?

Can't imagine the Gold Coast would be too keen on him running around for the Eagles and risking injury, minor or major round.....

Interesting though cause they have no contractual rights over him until 2011

he could run with the eagles for the last 3 games but what is the point when he wont qualify for them. godden would rather play the players that will play finals and get them fighting for their finals spot.

Bock officially no longer a Crow. Wont be playing in Adelaides last two games. Maybe Walker back in?

With the Crows and the Power not contesting the AFL finals series, Rd 23 of the SANFL will not count as a qualifying game for SANFL finals. So unless an AFL player has 3 SANFL games now and "plays" SANFL in the next 2 weeks, they cant qualify for SANFL finals.

Could Hentschel get one last look in the door, to enable the Crows to be certain about his future?

Hopefully Walker will be back for the Crows for the rest of the season.....of all the AFL listed players who could return for SANFL finals I would rate him the most influential and the most danger to the Dogs.
