I wonder how many of those Norwood 'supporters' were following the side last year, or even around rounds 6-7 this year before Norwood hit some form

watching the replay now with a sore head. my reasoning is there very heavily reliant on moving the ball by hand and run. this is all good and well on the smaller ovals where you carry it 50 meters and your one kick from being inside 50.
On the bigger oval they missed plenty of options where players were lose 40 meters ahead but they preffered to run rather than kick over the distance. Another aspect was once in the center square they looked to chip the ball inside 50 rather than the quick long entry which i think works alot better. At the parade you can find a target from the center square 15 meters away and then have a shot on goal

i wonder how many of the Central supporters have any scarfes or caps older than 10 years?

Possibly the worst comment on this whole site, why would we parade our premiership *scarfs and caps...?
Club would have made a fortune from this gear, and unlike you, I buy new gear every year! How's the old lace up guernsey? snug fit...?

I still have the 2 scarves that my grandmother sewed together in 1974, and wear it to every game I attend.

Given our discussion prior to the match about midfield and defence of each team, how do you rate them now?
Personnaly I think that Norwood matches up well with the dogs.

D4E - interesting question!
For whatever reason, in recent contests the two sides have struggled to shake one another. They must match up well on one another! What I took out of the game yesterday was that neither side exactly had their top shelf footy on display. Norwood was close to full strength, Doggies have a long list of comebacks to happen yet.
The game was played from half back to half back all day. Both sides missed two many opportunities so it meant neither one capitalised suffieciently on the mistakes of the other.
The Dogs have a couple of things in their favour in Buckets Mackenzie's tap work and Callinan. Callinan is worth an average 3 goals a game to you guys from the middle of the ground. Our rucks are young and lean and get outbodied pretty easily.
Norwood was let down by being too slow to go inside their forward 50 - they didn't seem to want to kick to a contest there. On the other hand, Central perhaps struggled to counter the run and carry of Norwood from half back to half forward.
I guess that's a long winded answer. I was trying to answer this question in a way before the game, when I asked Doggies fans to try and argue as to why Norwood would win (and I tried the opposite). The end result of the game was another close one but I don't think either coach would feel their best was on display yesterday. Ironic that even on the bigger ground, the final scores weren't a lot different to the Rd 11 clash so maybe that says it all - they do match up evenly in a lot of ways. Come finals time though, the CDFC's self-belief of 8 flags in ten years will be worth another 4 goals probably, whoever they are playing in finals!
What are your views D4E?

It was after the final siren so technically not during the match so no case to answer.
