Im unsure about if they need to consult members on possible new tops but looking at how great the Dogs "alternate" top looks and how crap Norths and the Eagles looks it probably is a good idea.
What they've got to remember is to keep it simple.
If North had their red guernsey with white vee (higher near the shoulders) for most matches and an "alternate" guernsey purely for mareketingp purposes of the opposte aka their 30s "Farmer" guernsey I'd be stoked.
I like the idea of the Eagles being predominately yellow as its so different to everyone else but I did much prefer their last yellow guernsey.
They've had some shockers, the only ones I liked were their very first one when they merged and their last lot before this one.

Wedgie mate not arguing with you just pointing out this "GOLD"(I was corrected last night its not yellow ;) ) jumper.ITS not the "ALTERNATE" jumper.ITS THE JUMPER .WWTFC will play every game in the "GOLD" jumper.
Thats it just the one strip .

Glenelg also sometimes claim to have gold in their guernsey (depends if their club song is on or not) but it too is yellow.
It happens a bit, the Power also claim to have Teal when its Turquoise they use.

LOL, Glenelg Football Club official colours are Black & Gold ... we just throw in a few red herrings to confuse you

Similarly, the Eagles are Blue, Green & Gold ... they use the same tactics.
Dunno, I’m just an idiot.

I liked the one from the last 2 years (both of them!). However, when the blue has been used as the dominant colour in the designs I have felt the green always looks out of place as though it's a token effort. So I can understand why they have gone with a mostly yellow scheme. I have always felt it's a tough 3 colours to combine on a guernsey.

Although the logo is prominent, underneath is a nice simple design which a lot of us have been calling for in new designs.

I'd like to see the sponsors logo smaller too however I am happy to cut the SANFL clubs some slack on that point as they all need the extra revenue.

I don't love it but I don't hate it either.

That's yellow dude.

But both Wiki sites say they're colours are Green and Gold and Yellow and Gold. If you look a the gold on the Aussies cricket uniform of recent years, that's gold. All other is yellow.

If you google "gold" vs google-ing "yellow" you'll realise that the guernsey you see here is yellow.

Seeing your neither a fan or Eagles member what you think say or write isn't really taken into account re the jumper .
No offence but thats the "GOLD" jumper and thats what the team will be winning games in .End of story really .

Yellow with an orange tinge seems to be called gold on any guernsey. That guernsey looks like that.

Ok, I (and others) are happy to agree that we're colour blind then. Sorry to have an opinion.

My old man was a Torrens supporter, and since I've been old enough to barrack for the blues, I've known Torrens as Yellow and Blue (my old man took me to Torrens games in the 70's and 80's mentioning such). {My opinion only so take it for what it's worth.}

Going back not that many years genuinely gold coloured dyes simply did not exist, at least for commercial application, and any somewhat orange tinged yellow was accepted as "Gold".
These days we can be more picky...

That was my thinking too. As far as I can recall yellow on footy guernseys has always been called "gold" even though it's not really gold (like used by the New Orleans Saints). The yellows used have been deep or burnt yellow (with that orange tinge you and Spelly said) and not the normal, bright yellow of a lemon.

So even though the Eagles colour is closer technically to yellow than gold I think tradition says saying "gold" is OK. eg, I thought Glenelg were always referred to as "black and gold"?

To contradict what I just said the Richmond FC web-site proudly says "Yellow and Black. feel it. live it. love it".

From Glenelg's club song: "For we're from Tiger (yellow and black)".
